Dress Codes
•In the 2005-2006 season the NBA implemented a dress code forcing injured players, and all players during pre-game to dress in business casual •Players on and off the court are in a business, and are expected to dress as such. •The NBA dress code, no big jewelry (can still wear earrings)
Business vs. Bling
• In 2005 Commissioner David Stern made the decision to implement a dress code mandating them to wear business attire • Prior to the 2005 NBA season injured players and players during pre-game could wear anything • Players who decided not to abide by the rules will be fined
Getting In the Game
• Since the 1970’s the NBA has allowed high school players to make the jump to the league without attending college • In 2005 David Stern implemented a rule stating that a player must be 19 years to play in the NBA
