Legislative Branch
This branch of government makes the laws. Congress makes up the legislative branch.
Congress includes the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Executive Branch
This branch of government carries out the laws.
The executive branch runs the day-to-day business of the government. The President of the United States represents the executive branch.
Judicial Branch
The Supreme Court is part of this branch of government.
This branch of government decides if the laws are working fairly.
