Football Helmet Fitting
Step 1 & 2
• Proper adjustment of the chin strap is necessary to ensure proper helmet fit • Pull down on face mask; helmet must not move
Step 3 & 4
• Turn helmet to position on the athlete’s head • Push down on helmet; there must be no movement
Step 5 & 6
• Try to rock helmet back & forth; there must be no movement • Check for a snug jaw pad fit
