Don’t be startled by the sticker price of a college education. Your cost
of attendance (COA) doesn’t just cover your college tuition; it takes into
account your basic living expenses too. So think about this: it is going to
cost you the same amount to live for the next few years whether you’re in
college or not. Your added investment in a college education can prepare
you to earn an average of $20,000 MORE a year than students who only
    complete high school.

When comparing financial aid packages from other schools, make sure you
are comparing the total cost of attending that school, not just the total

Smart Money magazine recently ranked Texas A&M
the top public university in the nation for its return on
investment — that is, the earning levels of an institution’s
graduates compared to what they paid in tuition, fees and
related costs for their undergraduate education.
Earlier this year, The Princeton Review/USA Today called
Texas A&M “one of the nation’s 10 best values” among
public institutions. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine
agrees, once again ranking Texas A&M among the nation’s
100 best values in terms of both economic value and
     quality of education.
A college degree from Texas A&M is an investment certain
to gain in value over your lifetime.

Scholarships & Financial Aid offers academic scholarships for incoming
freshmen. Students apply for all university level scholarships through the
ApplyTexas application. Please note the scholarship deadline (December 1,
2010) is earlier than the regular admission deadline.

In the scholarship competition, a student’s test score is only one of many
components considered in the review process. Consideration is given
to academic achievement in a college preparatory curriculum within the
context of a student’s academic environment. Additional factors for
selection include, but are not limited to, leadership, community service,
special talents, first generation college status, and academic achievement
under difficult circumstances. Some scholarships also have a financial
need component. More information about scholarships and eligibility
    requirements is available at
