How to Play Baseball
Baseball is played by the pitcher throwing the ball to the catcher. There is a hitter who tries to hit the ball but the pitcher's objective is to get the ball by the hitter. If the ball is hit in between the two foul lines which are drawn on the field, the result of the play is determined by the fielders, who play in the following nine positions: Pitcher (1), Catcher (2), 1st Baseman (3), 2nd Baseman (4), Shortstop (5), 3rd Baseman (6), Right Fielder (7), Center Fielder (8), and Left Fielder (9). There are nine innings in a game. In each inning, both teams get a chance to hit. The hitting team gets three outs until their turn to hit is over. There are four bases: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and home plate. The hitter stands in the batter's box, which is a rectangle that is located six inches away from home plate. The object of the game is to go around the bases until you go all the way around the bases and back to home plate. Once a player gets all the way back to home plate, a RUN is given to the team that has scored. The team with the most runs after nine innings wins the game.
