AAU Baseball is pleased to announce a new venture with Cooperstown

AAU Baseball is pleased to announce a new venture with the only camp in the Cooperstown area that offers multiple age group tournaments, Cooperstown Baseball World! Over the past seven years, Cooperstown Baseball World has offered youth baseball teams in the 12:U, 13:U, 14:U, 15:U and 16:U age categories, the opportunity to compete each summer in week-long tournaments against teams from all over the country as well as outside the country. Cooperstown Baseball World has already signed teams from 24 different states as well as Canada and the Virgin Islands for the 2006 season! Each year, due to the popularity of travel baseball, it gets harder and harder to get one of the coveted tournament spots at Cooperstown. AAU Baseball would like to offer as many of its teams the ability to play at this tournament in order to compete against top level competitors from throughout the country and get the chance to visit Cooperstown and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. AAU Baseball, as the premier youth baseball program in the country, has created an agreement with Cooperstown Baseball World to guarantee tournament spots each summer for AAU teams to participate. AAU will help to assist their teams’ capture the remaining tournament spaces for 2006 and has secured the week of July 1-7 as a National AAU Sunshine League Championship Series event at Cooperstown Baseball World. AAU teams will be provided with the 2007 Cooperstown Baseball World registration information which will soon be available. Please note, CBW will also include tournaments for the 10U age divisions in 2007 as well! AAU members will have the opportunity to enter the 2007 CBW Pre-Registration period. This will give each AAU team the opportunity to register during a five month window before it is open to the general public. Pre-registration will help to ensure your team a spot, while also allowing for you to have the best choice of weeks to work with your regular baseball schedule! This deal will help to make certain that more AAU teams will receive the “Cooperstown” experience and not be left on a waiting list!
