High School Musical – Backstage Learner Profile During this project, the learner profile attributes I demonstrated include Caring, Communicator and Principled. How I demonstrated caring is by being kind and helpful volunteering out for helping backstage crew of High School Musical for the wardrobe part. My job was to help out the cast backstage by organizing their clothes in which they had to change every time after a few scenes. I had to stay in the closet room at the girls side and when the changed quickly for the coming scene, I got their clothes and hung them up. I had to do this fast with my colleagues since there were lots of people changing and we had to keep up with them. I kept asking them politely where I should put their clothes since they might want theirs things beside their bags incase they have difficulty finding them or they might get mixed up, especially the cheerleaders who had shirts which were identical. When they came after a scene I would give their clothes they would have to change into since I have watched the play many times during the rehearsals I know what the majority of the people are wearing. When I folded the clothes or hung them up, I hung them up correctly and carefully so the wouldn’t get scrunched up. This shows caring and how much I care about the people and my volunteering of this position. It also shows how attentive and helpful I was throughout the whole play waiting for the clothes to organize them and give the cast their clothes neatly. I demonstrated communicator by communicating with my colleagues who were also helping out with the wardrobe backstage, with the volunteering teacher backstage and with the cast. I communicated with my colleagues by splitting the jobs. We talked about splitting the cast member’s clothes between us so we all do our jobs in equal amounts and fairly. We also talked about where we should put the clothes and where stuff (clothes hungers, coats, shoes etc.) were. This was very important because it’s all about teamwork. This caused us to get great help from each other and work faster together. I communicated with the backstage teacher by asking her to tell me every time the scene was over since I was busy organizing the clothes so I couldn’t keep track of the play as well. The teacher also told me to organize things I didn’t see and she also where some stuff went. This was important because I could get help from here by asking where everything went rather than being clueless and this helped me a lot. I communicated with the cast because I asked them where they would prefer their clothes be put and where their seats where and which clothes were theirs. This was important because it told me what clothes were their instead of mixing everyone’s, what seat were theirs, instead of mistaking and them taking a long time searching and where they wanted me to put their clothes so they would find them easily. This made everything more organized, quicker to find and easier to work together. I demonstrated principled because we didn’t have adults standing behind us and supervising at all times. Although we had a teacher backstage, she was too busy waiting at the door for the students to come from a scene, and she couldn’t watch us and our jobs at the same time. I demonstrated principled because I followed the rules, did my job with the best of my effort, and behaved well without needing adult supervision at all. I made sure I was ready as soon as the cast came in to quickly fold and hang clothes up and organize their accessories without hesitating and waiting wasting time. I made sure no one other than the High School Musical cast and crew came to the backstage room since only the members are the ones allowed.
