2. CONTENT 2.1 Go to the Department of Community Services website‟s “Caring For Children 6 – 12” publications and choose a publication for each member of your team. Note the publications‟ URLs. http://www.community.nsw.gov.au/DOCS/STANDA RD/PC_100219.html 2.2 For each publication write a short scenario that realistically describes a childcare „challenge‟.

2.3 For each scenario: i) Summarise or copy a guideline that results in a very successful outcome. ii) Summarise or copy a guideline that results in a moderately successful outcome. iii) Rewrite a guideline to provide a advice that may produce an unsuccessful outcome. For example, for the publication “Disciplining Your Child”: BEST CHOICE is “Try to have a discipline code that all members of the family agree on to reduce the likelihood of arguments when problems arise.” PASS CHOICE is “ Negotiate fair and reasonable consequences of behaviour problems with your children as well as rewards for good behaviour.” FAIL CHOICE is “Use punishment and threaten consequences that you have no intention of carrying out. 2.4 Use material from the publication as feedback to be provided for each choice in the scenario. Select photos and other media to enhance the scenario. 3. NAVIGATION Develop a navigation structure for each team member‟s scenario and for the group‟s composite scenario based learning application.

4. DEVELOPMENT Combine the group‟s scenarios into a scenario based learning activity and include title and end slides.
