Medtronic Experiences:

Dr. Jurek has delivered over 60 courses at Medtronic to over 1,000 Medtronic employees in
Project Management and Internal Consulting. He has also worked with Medtronic management
on 16 different business unit initiatives.

General Experiences:

Gary L. Jurek, Ph.D., president of Capitol View Consulting, Inc., has over 37 years in public,
private and corporate education with extensive international training experience. He is a member
of the Project Management Institute, a PMI "Registered Educational Provider®" Charter
Member, and a Minnesota Quality Award Evaluator. He has consulted and developed curricula,
programs and courses in: project management, business development, strategic planning,
organizational development, leadership training, consultant training, career transitioning,
management development, and communication skills. His most recent professional activities
includes engagements with: Medtronic, Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota School of Public
Health, enpath medical, St. Paul Public Schools, Winona State University, Minnesota Rubber,
Synovis, Twin Cities Academy, IEEE Management SIG, Best Buy, Physical Electronics,
Working Family Resource Center (St. Paul Public Schools), Unisys, Hunt Technologies, Quality
Career Services, University of Minnesota Extension Service, Drake Beam Morin (DBM), and
Trout Unlimited. He is presently a Project Management curriculum advisor and Associate
Professor in the Project Management Professional and Graduate Masters of Science Program at
St. Mary's University of Minnesota. He has been a St. Mary’s College faculty member and
delivered classes for the University of St. Thomas Management Center, and the University of
Minnesota. He is past-president of Sociologists of Minnesota and Ninos del Paraguay. He loves
Rose, Paul, Anna Rose, children, fly fishing, and his Harley (Harley is not the name of his dog!).
His recent awards and honors include: Outstanding Service Award (St. Paul Public Schools),
Distinguished Service to Sociologists of Minnesota award, and First Degree Black Belt
attainment in Karate.
