JACK DANIEL’S RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT
Pace Yourself. Drink Responsibly. Jack Daniel’s and Richard Childress Racing are committed to the message of Pace Yourself. Drink Responsibly. During our four years of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing, the Jack Daniel’s brand has been exposed to millions of folks on a regular basis, and so has our very important message of “Pace Yourself. Drink Responsibly.” As we enter 2008, this important message is still front and center of everything we do with Jack Daniel’s Racing. Jack Daniel’s and its parent company Brown-Forman have a long track record of demonstrating both corporate and social responsibility. Brown-Forman is dedicated to being an industry leader in promoting responsible marketing and advertising of distilled spirits products. Jack Daniel’s marketing, advertising and public relations programs have always been grounded in responsibility and are designed only for adults of legal drinking age or older. It is the right thing to do. It is something we’re very serious about, and it is an integral part of our brand building strategy. A key part of Brown-Forman’s mission is to be the “responsibility leader” in a socially responsible industry that has earned the right to market its products to adults in an appropriate manner. As a founding member of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), Brown-Forman successfully pressed for toughening the voluntary DISCUS “Code of Responsible Practices for Beverage Alcohol Advertising and Marketing.” Among other self-regulations, the Code contains an important provision stating that alcohol advertisements will only appear in media reaching an audience of at least 70 percent above the legal drinking age. To learn more about the DISCUS code, please visit www.distilledspirits.org. In addition, Brown-Forman’s commitment to promoting responsible drinking reaches beyond marketing. We believe that education and helping parents with the tools they need to talk to their children about alcohol are also keys to success. That is why Brown-Forman is proud to be a founding member of The Century Council, a highly respected non-profit organization responsible for many of the outstanding alcohol education programs in the United States. Brown-Forman and Century Council members have invested more than $150 million over the last 17 years to fund programs fighting against the misuse of our products. We hope you will consider visiting the Council’s website, www.centurycouncil.org, as well as b4udrink.org, and sharing them with your family and friends. We believe they carry very important information on responsible consumption of distilled spirits products. Pace Yourself. Drink Responsibly.

JACK DANIEL’S OLD NO. 7 BRAND
Officially registered with the U.S. government in 1866, the Jack Daniel Distillery, Lem Motlow, Proprietor, is the oldest registered distillery in the United States and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Based in Lynchburg (pop. 361), Tennessee, the Jack Daniel Distillery is the maker of world-famous Jack Daniel Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey, Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails. Jack Daniel’s is sold in more than 135 countries, but every drop is distilled, matured and bottled at the Distillery in Lynchburg – located in dry Moore County, Tennessee. Entering into our fourth season of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing, Jack Daniel’s is the primary sponsor of Richard Childress Racing’s No. 07 Chevrolet Impala SS for 2008. Fans are excited about Jack Daniel’s Racing, and we are thrilled to be associated with driver Clint Bowyer, crew chief Gil Martin and the entire Jack Daniel’s road crew. Jack Daniel’s and RCR have a rich tradition of promoting excellence and responsibility both on and off the track. The message we will be sending during the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season to consumers, fans, and everyone who loves this sport is “Pace Yourself. Drink Responsibly.” A lot of folks don’t realize that Jack Daniel was a real man, but here he is with his crew in the late 1800s. Jack’s the fellow in the middle row wearing a white hat. Even back then, it took the work of a dedicated crew to ensure every drop of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey was mellowed with the timehonored tradition and excellence that we still adhere to today. It’s that same spirit of dedication that our Jack Daniel’s Racing Team will bring to the track in 2008: Excellence. Dedication. Tradition.

JACK DANIEL DISTILLERY
The Jack Daniel Distillery, in Lynchburg (pop 361), Tennessee, is one of the most well-known producers of whiskey in the world. Officially registered with the U. S. government in 1866, The Jack Daniel Distillery crafts fine whiskey that falls into a distinctive product classification called Tennessee whiskey. Sold in more than 135 countries, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey begins with mineral-rich, iron-free cave spring water and the finest corn, rye and barley malt. Its distinctive character is a result of natural fermentation, careful distillation and important final step – charcoal mellowing. It’s the charcoal-mellowing process that gives Tennessee whiskey its unique taste – and its clear distinction from bourbon and all other whiskies. The spirit is carefully mellowed drop by drop throughout 10 fee of charcoal made from hard sugar maple trees. This process smoothes and refines the whiskey, giving it a head start before it goes into a new, charred, white oak barrel to mature in the Tennessee hills.
Jack Daniel’s proudly makes the following quality products: Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Brand Tennessee Whiskey (black label) Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails
Lynchburg Lemonade, Downhome Punch, Black Jack Cola, Watermelon Spike, and Wildberry.

DISTILLERY TOUR
Every year about 250,000 people tour the distillery and visit the small town of Lynchburg. In any twomonth period, visitors from all 50 states and over 30 foreign countries will stop by to see where their favorite whiskey is made. As long ago as when he registered his Distillery, Mr. Jack was known for his barbecues – special occasions where he hosted everyone from dignitaries to friends and co-workers. The Distillery continues that tradition on Barbecue Hill. Under a pavilion made with large hand hewn beams and large stone fireplaces, visitors can enjoy some of Tennessee’s finest barbecue, bluegrass music from the Jack Daniel’s Barrelhosue Gang, a game of horseshoes, and an exquisite view of the Hollow. Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House is another famous spot just off the town square in Lynchburg. Since 1908, Miss Mary’s has served as home to traditional Tennessee cooking and gracious Southern hospitality. Guided tours of the Distillery are available, free of charge, 9 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., seven days a week except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
