1. Why did you choose to attend this annual meeting when you have other options that may be available?
This is the only meeting/conference I attend where I am truly in contact with my peers at other banks. Keep it that way
I like the networking with the people from various banks. After coming for a few years you get to know these people and develop good rapp

Contact with vendors - others in industry.
First year here, it was good exposure to learn about securities side/custody side of business.
Face to face interaction with my peers and a great agenda.
Senior manager finally gave approval.
For networking - a personal approach to the business - a chance to meet one on one with vendors.
Relevant to my position at a custodian bank - love the intimate setting & format.
Our bank is just about to become a DTC participant, so we wanted to gain as much exposure to the group as possible.
Reputation, referral small group to increase networking.
This event focuses on my direct issues & topics and is a great way to network.
This conference is geared more towards servicing my DTCC need & concerns as well as a forum to network with others to find their solution
The information is always on point.
We are new DTC members and came to learn more about DTC.
Value to me & my org is great. Class actions complex securities, ACATS, HTV assets - perfect topics were dealing with right now.
Only one I attend.
Network with other operation people. Needed time with DTC.
Attended to touch base with others in the industry addressing the same needs as our trust company (networking opportunity).
Conference content.
It was a good opportunity to share some time with other banks and custodians to hear the problems the industry is facing.
DTC is critical to our success. Need to know latest updates.
Subject matter! These were the best speakers in 3 years. Availability of DTCC - vendors.

Good session, allowed for questions, honest when did not know. Would have liked to
hear a little more detail. It was good. Simple & good.
Too brief; while it was good to have some time for questions, there needed to be
more substance. I think as a Keynote Speaker, Adam should have went into more
details on the topics & what DTCC is working on. Great overview - hit the key areas
for the conference.
Excellent. Informative-good speaker. Great job answering some thought questions.
DTC relationship manages real bigger presence at the meeting.
Adam was very knowledgeable & knew what he could answer & knew when to give
way to a colleague. He also seemed to be very open to feedback. 45 min. session
ended in 15 min. Tell Adam BDUG is a great chance to visit with our DTC reps. Even
better then when he visits my bank. All rep need to be included in this meeting.
Glossed over topics where a subject matter expert was needed. Not comfortable with
all material. Can we get Don Donahue to speak? Much more effective. Would like for
DTCC to work on handling complex securities better. We have a lot of rate changes
that go back 2 or 3 months revised rate. Difficult to explain to customer when you
change rate more than once. Put more pressure on paying agent to get you correct
information. Good high level overview. Excellent discussion around DTCC
representation at BDUG meetings.
Presentation was too short. Could have spent more time on initiatives. Very
informative. DTCC providing the Keynote speaker is extremely important for this
meeting - it proves they value our organization. Interesting state - appreciated.
Helpful to have present to defer to SME w/m DTCC for more clarification & dialog.
Brief overview - Q & A added value to session. With the help of other DTCC
representation (1.) Yearly surveys that are sourced out are harder to follow & fill out.
Apparently, the surveys are sent to various people at our bank. We never know who
has filled out one. Not sure if all categories are returned on the survey. (2) Help desk
survey -need to mention what topic the survey is for. Sometimes more than one
question is asked throughout the week and we do not know which survey we are
answering. Good.
Felt Adam had much more info to give - rushed.

Very good speaker - Good information.
Very knowledgeable & nice association with Red Sox. Excellent job.
Just the right detail without going over people's head. Very good speaker. Very interesting presentation style.
Very thorough. Give us as regional firms a lot to think about.
Engaging &informative. One suggestion - explain briefly who you are & what tower group does.
Should convert to a Yankee fan. A ton of information was given.
Good speaker. Able to present dry info in interesting manner.
Excellent speaker. Panel spoke of how their businesses are prepared or are preparing fo rht globalization issue. Not enough time for
questions
Only UBOC spoke in general terms - thanks. Conclusion - last question was very productive which should've been question on and skip the
personal business information sharing.
Great presentation - thought provoking. Operational changes and challenges need to be addressed

Unable to fairly assess - many portions of each were outside of my knowledge base.
Does everyone in the room know who the speakers are & where they come from? I was not,
but I am a first timer.
Individual presentation should've been shorter & Q & A longer.
Time pressure on speakers somewhat inhibited questions.
Very informational. Michael went too in depth which took away from the other panelist. I would
have liked to seen more Q & A with the panel.
Mike Barrett's presentation too long.
Would have like more time for Janet. The times should have been managed better with the
first few speakers.
Lots of good information but too much for the time allotted. Keep this topic in future
conferences - this is a big concern to custodial banks.

Steve's portion was very informative and addressed current issues.
Great topic. Have more questions, but will keep to the breakout.
This is a "dry" subject, but both speakers addressed some critical issues active
today.
Very informative - hot industry topic - good choice to bring info to BDUG.
Vlady presented non-pertinent info. Stephen was much better.
1) Some of the info was too high level to keep you focused and difficult to follow.
2) More informative & spoke in layman's terms.

Seriously, good discussion and it's great for the interaction so the committee continues to represent the
members.
New information regarding partnering with Forward Financial made it hard to make a decision in 1 hour. A
lot to think about evolved members.
Specific to topics discussed - have committee members break out tasks & delegate. An e-mail
outlining needs. You are able to tap into talents & attributes of others not actually on the board.
Subject matter - we all attend user groups, what are our industry pains? Can general sessions be
derived from some of these topics?
Why wait until our conference to bring options for 2009, when a decision has to be made so
quickly? There is a lot to consider. Why not have one or two coordinated conference calls to
discuss throughout the year so we can make a more informed vote at our meetings.
I suggest not partnering with FW Financial or others. Focus on increasing membership and
participation. Don't change it too much. Don't merge with Forward Financial BDUG, should
remain independent.
Only because there was so much to discuss! This conference has been excellent.
Thank you - please look at SIFMA. Its ops related and possibly a good fit.
Very good meeting keep doing what you are doing.
Veneta, we love you! Bring NSCC! Interesting - merging with another industry group could make
sense depending on the group. FW Financial does not make sense and from the comments
BDUG would get lost in the shuffle. Tampa as a permanent base for annual meetings is good.
Puts us close to DTCC which could allow for better participation from their ops group.

Very knowledgeable on subject.
I think we all realize the benefits of alternate investments, the real issue for
OPS is how we process these assets on our systems that really were not
built to handle these. Maybe a breakout session with how all of us handle
the work flow would be more beneficial.
Not applicable. The subject of alternative investments is good but this
speaker's view is not ops oriented. Would like to have an "Operations"
or "Back Office" presentation on this same topic.
What is DTCC doing to support alt (NV)?
Great presentation to new user level.
Very interesting, very informative.
Operational issues are huge - this is a topic that BDUG should address
rigorously. This no standardization.
Topic not appropriate for this group. Processing of these investments
would have been better.
Good speaker. I'm not sure the topic specifically affected securities
operations. It would have been beneficial to add a few slides on the
effects on the back office to support these asset types.
Topic should be covered from an operational perspective and how ops
should handle these types of securities.
Seemed to be high level and not focused on the operational perspective.
How it affects ops would be helpful to us.
Very interesting topic. Very informative.
Presentation was general more towards investment and we are
operations not much discussion regarding processing.
