Dear Prospective Member:

The Brothers of the Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi welcome you to our Meet the Chapter night. We are
pleased that you have expressed interest in Delta Sigma Pi. We believe that we are one of the strongest
student organizations on campus and students, faculty, and campus leaders acknowledge our many
accomplishments. Delta Sigma Pi can offer many experiences and opportunities as one of the largest
professional fraternities in the world.

Each of us would like to get to know you. We ask that you introduce yourself to the active members of the
chapter and that you obtain as many of their signatures as p ossible before Bid Night on Wednesday,
January 30th, 2008. By meeting as many Brothers as possible, you can decide if you truly wish to enter the
pledge process. The best way to obtain signatures is to attend all of the events listed on the attached Pre -
Pledging Events Schedule. We also ask that you decorate the front cover of your signature booklet in a
way that reflects your personality. Please make sure your name appears on the front of the booklet.

I cannot express the importance of attending all of the activities and obtaining active members’ signatures.
Please refer to the attached Schedule of Pre-Pledging activities for more information about each event. On
January 30th, 2008, Bid Night, the fraternity will decide on whom we will invite to en ter the pledge process.
Attendance of the pre-pledging events, the number of signatures you obtain, essays submitted and resume
are factors in this decision. Listed below are the exact items you should submit online before Bid Night:

         1. A one page essay entitled “What I Can Offer Delta Sigma Pi”
         2. A one page personal resume
         3. A completed Prospective Member Information Form (see the link on our website -
              www.delta.dspnet.net.)
         4. You should also bring your signature book to Bid Night

All items can be submitted to Joseph.Mangano@marquette.edu

On behalf of my chapter, we are excited about your interest in our brotherhood and welcome you as we get
to know each other. If you have any questions about Delta Sigma Pi or the pledge process in general,
please do not hesitate to call me.

Sincerely,

Joe Mangano
