Demonstration
Demo Overview:
   1. In this demo you create a lead by entering information into a Web form and by having
Scribe Insight creat e an account, contact, activity, and opportunity in SalesLogix. You
show the detailed information captured in the lead and the activity.
   2. Then you create a second lead for the same account using the Web form and show how
the template associates this new data with the existing account created in the first step.
   3. Then you show the Monitors, Alerts, and Data Views that are part of the templat e.

Before starting the demo:
 Start Internet Explorer and navigat e to the lead form. -
       (http://localhost/webleadsform/leads.aspx)
 Start SalesLogix and login as Admin.
    Open the Insight Console.
 Check that Integration Processes are active.

Now for the demo:
 Fill out the information on the lead form and click Submit (MSMQ). (Do not close the
browser! You can use the information saved in the brows er to save you time entering
        data later.)
 The Submit (MSMQ) gives the fastest performance.
 If you want to say something about the other two buttons, say that they are part of the
template to provide examples of how to use ot her methods to perform the data trans fer
from the lead form to Sales Logix. The method used depends on the customer’s situation.
If the lead is dropped off by virtue of a file being created, the File option gives an example
of how to create a file. If getting through the firewall is not possible, Email is a good
        option.

 Wait several seconds for the first lead to go into Sales Logix. The first connection to
SalesLogix is generally a little slower than subseque nt connections, so it may take 15
seconds or so for the first lead to go in.
 Go into Sales Logix and select the account that was entered in the Web Lead form.

      Talking Points:
o Insight has created an Account, Address, Cont act, Activity, and Opportunity based on
the information in the Web lead. From a flat data structure such as XML, records
were created in multiple tables in SalesLogix and the relationships between thos e
               records were set up properly.

 Drill down into the contact that got created.

      Talking Points:
o Note the Preferred Contact field is set to the contact method selected in the Web
                    Lead form.
o By drilling into the Activity detail, you can see how the information selected on
the form is noted in SalesLogix.

 Click OK to close the Activity window.
 Drill down into the opportunity.

           Talking Points:
o The opportunity description was filled in with information based on the
products checked off on the Web form. No opportunity products were added.
If your Web form had specific products on it that were matched up with
products in SalesLogix, the template could be changed to add opportunity
                         products.
o What is important here is the depth of data that can be created in SalesLogix
by Insight and that the relationships bet ween the various piec es of data are
                         set up properly.
o The requirements in your situation may dictate to not create an opportunity
directly from the Web lead. This is easily changed in the template.

Now you will enter a second contact for the same account.
 Go to the instance of Internet Explorer that has the Web Lead Form open. Click the Back
button to ret urn to lead page. The data you filled in the last time you used the form is
       visible.
 Change some of the data on the form, such as the contact name, e -mail address, areas
of interest and contact method, but do not change Company Name or Zip code . If you
do, Insight will not find a matching account for the lead.
 After changing the data on the form, submit the data by clicking Submit (MSMQ).
 Wait several seconds for the lead to be imported into SalesLogix.
 Go to SalesLogix and select the account that was created.

           Talking Points:
o A new contact and opportunity is created and attached to the account
                         created with the first lead.

o If you want to show the contact detail (such as contact method) being
different, you can drill down int o the contact to show that.
o If you want to show the activity detail, you can drill down into the activity to do
                         that.

In the next part of the demo, you show the monitors and data views that are part of the templat e.

Describe what monitors do in general and give ex amples of the monitors in this templat e.
 Daily Lead Traffic - reports the number of leads that were received from Web site
 Daily Low Leads - alerts only if less then X leads were received from Web site
 Weekly Low Qualific ations - alerts only if less then X leads were qualified
 Dropped Leads - alerts if any leads are not followed up on in 24 hours
 Large Opportunity - alerts if a lead is qualified for more then $X

 Then show the resulting e-mail notification from the monit or. If you do not have e-mail
notification set up for Insight, you can still run the monitor and view the alert in the Alert
Log. You could also show the screenshot below to give someone the idea of how the
          alert will look in e-mail.

      Talking Points:
 E-mail, Pager support for notification.
 Notification groups setup in Insight Console.

 Go the Console and show the two Data Views for this template.

      Talking Points:
 This view shows the number of leads broken down by lead source. Total leads are in
red and leads from the Web site are in green. You can change the chart type by right -
clicking and selecting a different chart type. 2-D Bar is a good alternate type for this
               Data View.
 This view takes its information from SalesLogix and therefore reflects all lead history
on the system. Insight Views (and Monitors for that matter) can take data from any
data source (such as Scribe’s internal DB) – that means you can view data from the
application or data relating only to the integration.

This is the end of the hands on part of the demo.

Wrap Up
It is good to wrap up wit h some final positioning on Insight and this template.

Think of three major capabilities of Insight:
 Automation of int egration processes
 Exception management or integration administration
         Business activity monitoring

On the template:

 The template can be modified to create additional objects in SalesLogix or to not
               create objects such as opportunities.
 Modification is done via the Workbench.
 Sometimes, customers/prospects will already have a lead capture form and a
database where that dat a is stored. Insight and this template do not require XML.
Insight and the design of this template can be used for taking data out of such
databases. The databas es need to be SQL Server, Oracle, or accessible via ODBC.
