                                                                                                                The Collegium presents an opportunity for instrumental music educators of all levels from




                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               round 3
                                                                                                                around the world to meet and discuss common goals, shared concerns, and practical solutions
                                                                                                                with colleagues, performers, and composers. The format is designed to allow maximum flexibility
                                                                                                                in examining topics that are of paramount interest to the participants. The goal of the Collegium is
                                                                                                                to help those in attendance broaden their perspectives by providing an environment that creates a
                                                                                                                positive opportunity for dialogue, investigation, and exchange.
                                                                                                                As many as 40 conductors will be selected to rehearse and perform on one of four concerts

                                                                                                                pedagogy will be made on videotape. Non-conducting participants will follow scores and listen
                                                                                                                to the clinicians via headphones, allowing all to learn the repertoire and stay integrally involved
                                                                                                                as the rehearsals progress. Assigned concert repertoire will be selected from the book Teaching
                                                                                                                Music Through Performance in Band, Volume 7, grade 4 (GIA, 2008). In addition, Mr. Corporon
                                                                                                                and guests will offer lectures and lead discussions throughout the twelve-day session on a variety
                                                                                                                of related subjects. Morning sessions will focus on selected masterworks as well as musical and

                                                                                                                Collegium Conductors. Participants may attend for as few as three days or as many as twelve for the
                                                                                                                same price. The course must be taken in three-day blocks. A minimum of two consecutive rounds
