					                  Nutmeg Ice Dance Weekend
                   July 16, 17, and 18, 2010
                    Newington Arena, Newington CT
The Newington Arena is excited to host the Nutmeg Ice Dance Weekend. Ice dancers of all
levels from around the country are invited to join us for ice dancing, on-ice clinics, ballroom
off-ice dance lessons, a Friday social, and a Saturday dinner dance. The number of skaters
will be limited for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. First priority will be given to those
who sign up for the complete program, including the Saturday evening dinner dance, which
will be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Cromwell CT.

We have arranged for special room rates - $99, breakfast, and 10 minute shuttle service to
the rink. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, fitness room and free high speed WiFi. Mention

HOST RINK: Newington Arena, 300 Alumni Rd., Newington, CT 06111. 860 - 665 - 7825
The rink is in central CT, easy access to routes 9, I-84, and I-91, approx. 20 minutes south of
Bradley airport. The rink is offering a catered continental breakfast, a lunch buffet, beverages,
and water on Saturday and Sunday in the rink foyer.                 www.newingtonarena.com

WELCOMING PARTY AND DINNER DANCE: On Friday night there will be a wine and
cheese welcoming party in the upstairs lounge, after skating. On Saturday evening there will
be a dinner dance at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Cromwell.

ICE DANCING: 11 hours of ice time at the Newington Arena.

CLINIC: Two, 45 minute classes will be given by 2006 Olympic bronze ice dance champion
Ruslan Goncharov; one for lower level and one for higher level skaters. Ruslan will also be
skating during the entire Saturday schedule!

BALLROOM/ LATIN LESSONS: Two classes will be offered on Saturday after skating to
accommodate various levels and interests.

ATTIRE: Dress for the Saturday dinner dance is black tie optional. On the ice,
competition or testing attire is appropriate.

FROM I-84 EAST: - I-84 East to rte 72 East (exit 35 on the left).
                      - Go 3 mi., bear left onto rte 9 North.
                      - Take exit 29. At end of ramp go right onto Cedar St. (175) Go .5 mi.
                      - Turn left (at Citgo station) onto Alumni Rd. Arena is 1/2 mi. on the rt.

FROM I-84 WEST: - I-84 to exit 39A onto rte 9 South. Go 2.6 mi..
                      - Take exit 29. At end of ramp turn left onto Ella Grasso Rd.
                      - Turn right onto Fenn Rd., then left onto Cedar St.(rte 175). Go .5 mi.

                - Turn right onto Alumni Rd. Arena 1/2 mi. on the rt.

FROM I-84 EAST:       - I-84 East to I-691 (exit 27), to I-91 North (exit 11)
                      - Take exit 21. At end of ramp, turn left. Hotel is 1/8 mi. on left.

FROM I-84 WEST:         Take I-84 to I-91 South. Follow directions from I-91 South.

FROM I-91 NORTH: Exit 21, turn left at end of ramp, hotel is on immediate left.
FROM I-91 SOUTH: Exit 21, turn left at end of ramp, hotel is 1/8 mi. on left.
