                                Reasons for the Changes

The Department of Marketing would like to request the above changes in the Certificate
in Export-Import Management Program. In the new program, four courses, MAR4643,
MAR4203, TRA 4721, MAR4620 are offered as electives to give students more choices.
The change of the course GPA requirement to 2.75 and the removal of the certificate
examination are necessary to render this certificate program compatible with other
certificate programs in the College of Business. Overall, the changes will provide
students with a better access to this certificate program.

For comparison purposes, the course GPA requirement for the Banking Certificate and
the International Banking Certificate is 2.50; the course GPA requirement for the
Entrepreneurship Certificate is 2.0. There is no certificate examination required by these
