In order to do this, you will need to have already booked accommodation since we need to include in the registration form where you are accommodated. The registration for this event is free and only for those who were invited. The number of participants is limited to one person per project, except for those who have regional character, in that case a maximum of 3 persons can participate. Registrations will be confirme d to the email address provided during the registration. If you don’t receive the confirmation, please contact us before traveling to the confe rence. Registrations will be confirmed by September 30th 2. Visas With the aim of avoiding any setback, ask the embassy of the US in your country about visa requirements and others. For the process of visa application, if you require so, you can contact us at email@example.com indicating in the subject VISA and to which workshop you are attending. Please include the following information in the email: full name, position, institution in which you are working and address of the institution. With this information, we can prepare an official personal letter of invitation to the workshop to be presented to the Embassy of the US in your country. To obtain a visa is the responsibility of participants and its cost is not covered by MIF. Venue of the event Both of the meetings will take place in the headquarters of the Bank: 1330 New York Ave. NW. 20577 Washington, DC. 4. Registration of Participants The activities will take place in diffe rent rooms of the buildings of the Inte r-Ame rican Development Bank so that it is recommended to be punctual to receive the orientation instructions needed. Registration and welcoming of the participants will be held o n Monday 29 October 2007 from 8:00 am. for those who start to participate that day; and from Tuesday 30 October 2007 from 8:00 am. for those who start to participate that day. At this time you will have to sign up in the working group in which you want to participate. The agenda is annexed for you to analyze it before this day. 5. Resources The meeting will have a plenary room and rooms for group work with the basic equipments. We will also have a service of simultaneous interpretation (Spanish-English, English- Spanish) only during the plenary meetings. MIF offers lunches, as well as coffee and breakfast services throughout the workshop. In addition, there will be a cocktail on the evening of the 29 th . 6. Financing: Each participant will be in charge of buying his ticket and booking the hotel. The costs of participation, travel and stay, have to be defrayed by each assistant. Each participant will be responsible of the costs of no-s hows (if you don’t attend or don’t cancel with anticipation you will have to pay the cost incurred).
