OPENING NIGHT WORLD PREMIERE IS TO BE ANNOUNCED!
The 43 rd Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival will be celebrated from Friday, April 9th
through Sunday, April 18th 2010. The Festival will present 56 new USA Independent and foreign films, plus 88 shorts. Over
thirty countries are featured. There will be daily film screenings daily at 5pm, 7:00pm and 9:00pm, except for Opening
Night on the 9th of April, when the Opening Night Film – TO BE ANNOUNCED - will be screened at just 7:15pm. The
Opening Night Gala with The Art Car Parade and The Mariachi Continentals begins at 6:00pm. On Saturdays & Sundays,
the 10th, 11th and the 17th & 18th - there will be extra screenings of short and student films at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, and extra
screenings at 7:00pm & 9:00pm in 35mm & Barco R20 digital video DLP projection from Wagner Media. Almost all films
are presented personally by their directors, with a Q&A session after the screening.
Screening Information All films are shown at the AMC Studio 30 Dunvale located between Richmond and

The DVD/16mm/Video Student and Short Film Theater is located the same AMC Studio 30 Dunvale Theater. All 16mm
& digital video is projected via Digital on a new State-Of-The-Art Barco R20 Digital DLP/20,000 Systems from Wagner

Tickets & Pass Information There are both Series Tickets and Individual show tickets available. The Opening Night
ticket is $20.00, which includes the 108-page program book. $30 for the Premiere and the VIP champagne reception after
the Premiere at The Renaissance Houston Hotel, Festival Club located at Greenway Plaza on the SW Freeway. The
phone there is (713) 629-1200. All other evening shows are $10.00 each; all matinee shows (1, 3 & 5pm) are $7.00. All
short film shows are $7.00 per program. This year, we offer a VIP Film Buff Pass of 11 admissions for $100 (any
combination of usage.) There is a $150 VIP Silver Screen Pass that admits one person to all shows, including Opening
Night. The $395 VIP Gold Pass (all 10 days) includes all films and all the Seminars. The Seminar Only Pass for all six
seminars is $295. The All Festival VIP Platinum Pass to the Galas and Everything is $500.
The Awards Gala begins at 7pm on Saturday the 17th at The Renaissance Grand Ballroom with a cocktail reception, the
dinner is at 8pm and awards are presented between courses during the dinner. The general public may attend, and Gala
Dinner tickets are $150 each. No acceptance speeches are necessary, expected, or required. The dress code is
“filmmaker formal” which means that anything goes, from white tie and tails to combat fatigues! (For Invited Filmmakers
only: All invited filmmakers receive 2 complimentary VIP Silver Screen Passes to all films, and you may upgrade/ obtain
$500 VIP Platinum Passes which include the dinner, NASA/Space Center Tour, Houston Yacht Club Regatta & Texas
BBQ for you and any of your guests for just $200 each. Additional Awards Gala Dinner tickets are $150 each for your
guests, and they do include the NASA/Space Center Houston Tour, HYC Regatta and Texas BBQ.)
SEMINARS: WorldFest-Houston presents a series of six film Professional Production Seminars on Thursday, Friday,
& Saturday, April 15 th, 16 th & 17 th at 10am and 2pm at The Renaissance Houston Hotel. Check the festival
registration/info office at the hotel for the assigned meeting room location for the seminars.

Producing & Directing the Independent Feature Film: Saturday, April 17th - 2pm to 4pm.
This annual Indie seminar brings together a diverse panel of Independent film producers, producer/directors, and those
involved in getting a film or television production past the script and onto the screen. An important panel seminar with an
extensive Q&A session that probes into all the facets of producing and directing an independent feature film. A synergistic
blend ranging from seasoned veterans of guerrilla styled Indie filmmaking to the proverbial new kids on the block, who all
bring to the table an amazing array of perspectives, passion, insights, and creative juice to share their unique experiences
from the front lines of Indie filmmaking. The Panel Moderator is Jon Scheide.
The Regatta: The 24th Annual WorldFest-Houston ~ Houston Yacht Club Regatta is on Sunday the 18th of April. The
buses will leave the Renaissance Hotel promptly at 10 am Sunday morning! Private cars can follow the buses to Space
Center Houston for the VIP tour of NASA. We will leave NASA at 12 noon for the Houston Yacht Club. All WorldFest
guests will be assigned a yacht & crew (attire: white-soled boat or tennis shoes only please, no black soled jogging shoes.
Bring a windbreaker or sweater) for the 3-hour Olympic triangle “fun race” which will be over at appx. 3:30pm. The boats
will then return to the HYC for the Bollywood Indian Buffet and live mariachi music. The buses will return at 6pm, going
to the festival theater first, in time for the 7:00 pm Closing Night Film, then on to The Renaissance Hotel. You can easily
make a 9pm or a bit earlier flight if you are checked out of the hotel, and packed and ready with a rental car.

WorldFest is not responsible for last minute schedule changes and cancellations. Should a scheduled film be canceled, the film festival
will substitute a film of our choice. Every effort will be made to hold to the published schedule, but due to shipping, dist ribution and
