    Consumer Credit Regulations
Following the implementation of the Consumer Credit Regulations that came into effect June 11th 2010, all banks are now required to
include the Government Stamp Duty of E30 in the APR (Annual Percentage Rate) calculation for credit cards. This does not affect the
actual rate of interest charged. It simply means the way APR is calculated has changed. Should you have any queries on this please
    contact Customer Service on 1890 251 251.

Platinum Cardholders covered amid volcanic ash disruption
Many Bank of Ireland Credit Cardholders have been adversely affected by the recent volcanic
eruptions. The comprehensive Platinum Credit Card travel insurance policy, underwritten
by Chartis, is honouring claims by classifying the volcanic eruption as an ‘adverse weather’
event for all trips booked prior to May 3rd 2010. This has helped many of our customers
make successful claims for travel delays, missed connections, and holiday abandonment
in line with the benefits of the policy. Customers should retain receipts and contact our
claim handlers OSG at 01 661 9133 or download claim forms from www.osgtravelclaims.ie.
Alternatively please contact 1800 303 102 with any queries.
