1.       IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVE

To contribute effectively to the HR and Performance Management functions of a Corporate
Group, as part of its senior management team. I wish to play a creative, supportive role for
top management in attracting and retaining talent, performance management and team
building plans.

Building on my experience of 16 years, within next three years’ time, I aspire to get groomed

A professionally run global non-profit organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship, through
its presence in 44 cities and 9 countries. Profile: to inspire and guide entrepreneurs by way of
facilitating networking, advice, organizing conferences, project specific guidance and assistance
from successful & experienced mentor entrepreneurs.

TiE (www.tie.org) HQ is based out of Silicon Valley – and is the largest pool of intellectual capital –
it is a global network of entrepreneurs, CEOs and professionals including NRIs who have a strong
desire to ‘give back to society’ – to contribute to the socio-economic development of India. TiE now
has over 11,000 members worldwide.

Some achievements

     •   Built the Ahmedabad chapter from scratch, after it had (earlier) failed to take off.
     •   With help of TiE President, the memberships profile, events, mentoring got stabilized
     •   The Ahmedabad chapter is now put on a growth path – that too, with limited resources.
     •   Conceptualized and executed about 20 events in a space of two years with TiE Ahmedabad.
     •   Positive impact achieved; feedback from members is – excellent value derived
     •   Organised over 30 seminars / conference events to nurture entrepreneurship

My stint here saw my involvement in multiple portfolios across the US$300 Million group into Real
Estate & Housing, BPO and Infocity IT Park at Gandhinagar. A most enriching experience of
working with a multilocational, multicultural and large workforce. Working with US timings, my roles
were:
   • Recruitment at Effective Teleservices Pvt. Ltd. : participated in massive recruitment drives,
       building talent across all levels, sourcing talent through different approaches. This company
       is part of a Texas based Call Center.

   •   Set up a small HRD Cell with a modest annual budget outlay and training activities’ plan.
   •   Organised Behavioural training programmes for Head Office and for employees of both units

   •   Designed innovative performance appraisal systems; created a written feedback and basic

     •   On behalf of state and national level Paper Industry Associations, I drafted the pre -budget
         memorandums to the Finance Minister, justifying the case for excise/import/other duties in
         company’s favour. Created Multimedia / PowerPoint presentations PC for specific events
         like the AGM and for Project presentations to funding partners.

     •   Expertise in presenting and arguing analytical points for key discussions, at times in legal
         matters and meetings with political leaders, board members, and in strategic
         communications / proposals.


WORK PROFILE also included co-ordination with managers and liaison with various parties, being a
resource person for Directors, corporate planning, keeping track of project implementation, strategic
communications, policy-making, e-mail management, handling his meetings/schedule, travel, MIS,

•    Led a one day Marketing workshop on “Sharpening your Sales Skills” at Rajkot, for Owner-Directors (of
     small to medium scale businesses) and Marketing Executives.
•    T sessions in Sales Effectiveness & Communication for a reputed Foods and spices company.
•    Conducted “Personality Development” and “Achievement -Motivation” T-sessions for more than 100
     graduate & undergraduate students at NMC, Rajkot. Feedback was quite encouraging.
•    Training sessions on Team Building, Communication Development, Time Management, Brainstorming for
     Mangement Improvement” for a reputed pharmaceutical company. Batch included 37 officers & staff
     members, including the Directors.
•    Conducted a one-day Training workshop for 12 servicemen & mechanics of a reputed Motor-Garage (in
     the local language) on Productive Work Habits, Customer Service and Work Quality.
•    T-sessions in Ice-Breaking, Stress Management, TA and Sensitivity training to students when I was
     Lecturer in OB/HRD at Gujarat Vidyapith (1992). Conducted individual counselling sessions with students.

     amongst a team of faculty - the batch comprising illiterate rural traditional women.

       outside Rajkot; on Love in Marital Relationships (1997)
   •   Organised HR Effectiveness Training sessions conducted by an expert Psychologist for separate
       batches of employees while at Saurashtra Paper, Rajkot
   •   Have attended the Art of Living Basic Course, twice, during last 6 years.
