Course Title: DRAMA (T/A) Unit Title Line Unit Description Students will learn the principles of children’s theatre and will Theatre for Young People 3 apply this knowledge in the creation of a theatrical performance (Tertiary/Accredited) for a young audience. This is an excellent unit for all levels of experience. For the serious drama student this is one not to be missed. The Experimental Theatre 4 20th century was a time of massive social and technological (Tertiary/Accredited) upheaval and the theatre that responded to those times was revolutionary. This unit will explore 20th century theatre styles in an exiting and thought provoking manner. This is an excellent unit for the Drama student with sound previous experience and a good understanding of dramatic conventions. Students will learn core performance and play-building skills and Dramatic Explorations 6 will create theatre using a workshop process. This is an excellent (Tertiary/Accredited) unit for all levels of experience. For the potential theatre tech, music roadie, or drama student. Theatre Lighting and Sound 6 Learn how to design, create, set up and operate theatre lighting (Tertiary/Accredited) and sound systems in a well equipped modern theatre. This is an excellent unit for all levels of experience. This unit is the production unit and focuses primarily on the Theatre Production and Performance 7 skills and knowledge required to stage a drama production. In (Tertiary/Accredited) 2007, we will start the year with a teacher directed production. In second semester we will be working toward a festival of student initiated and directed plays. This is an excellent unit for all levels of experience. Students in this unit are also required to enrol in the R unit STAGE PRODUCTION.
