CONTENT
In this course students receive classroom training preparing them to perform PC technical
repair, troubleshooting and computer networking. Student learning will emphasize problem
identification and correction by being presented with real world PC problems. This training
will provide students essential technical and customer relations skills as needed in the
workplace and prepare them for the A+ examination.
COURSE STYLE
Hands on training experience, classroom work, and on site experience when taken
concurrently with the PC Internship class.

PC Internship 1 & 2
CONTENT
This lab course provides the students hands on experience working with technology in the
school's computer environments. Students take major roles in maintaining and updating our
computer systems. These experiences provide a foundation that will allow students to pursue
further studies or careers as technicians.
COURSE STYLE
Hands on course which provides 2 periods per day of technical experience when taken
concurrently with PC Trouble Shooting.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Students will work with a client of their choice to design and build a web site.
EMPLOYABILITY
Students are expected to demonstrate effective employability skills including professionalism,
resource and time management, group interaction, and organization and planning.
CLASS POLICIES
1. Attendance - Students are expected to adhere to the Kennewick School District attendance policy
2. Tardies - Students begin each quarter with three free hall passes. They may use them as needed for
being late to class, restroom, locker, or other school business. After the student uses all three hall
passes, the following will occur for each subsequent tardy/hall pass used:
a. ½ hour detention
b. 1 hour detention + call home
c. Refer to administrator

a. First Offense: A warning is optional. Otherwise, Five Paragraph Essay regarding problem: 12
pt. Times Roman font, Title: 18 pt Times Roman font, heading: 12 pt Times Roman font,
describe what happened, the problems this causes, and solutions
b. Second Offense: ½ hour detention + 5 paragraph essay + call home
c. Third Offense: Refer to admin
4. Late Work - For excused absences, make-up (assignments or tests) work will be due within one week
of the day or days missed. (Example, excused absences from school Mon.-Wed., make-up work will
be due the following Wed.) Students begin each quarter with one Late Assignment Pass. This pass
may be used for any assignment missed during an unexcused absence or an assignment turned in late.
Assignments turned in with a Late Assignment Pass receive full credit. Students may turn in one other
assignment per quarter for up to 50% credit. All other late assignments will receive a “0”.
5. Attitude - Respect will be an expectation for every student while in the classroom. Respect for the
teacher, (myself or substitute) fellow students, and school property is required for this course.
6. Ethics

b. Cheating
i. First Offense: Students involved will receive a zero for the assignment and must attend
a teacher/student conference.
ii. Second Offense: A second offense will result in a zero for the assignment for all
students involved and a student/parent/teacher conference.
iii. Third Offense: Removal from the class with a failing grade.
