Expert mode
          Why Expert Mode
 All new modules will have the same
  layout (except VAG).
 All new modules will have expert
mode. (except Opel at the moment)
 In General Expert Mode all systems
are available for the selected brand.
 This replaces the TEST MODE in
  the old software
 Codes only.
When to use Expert Mode:
 When a vehicle is not in the
   database but the system is.
The covered systems can be tested
for all of the years they have been
    used in vehicles
Where to find Expert mode
   In all new 2002 (3) – 2004 models
 To get into Expert mode you have to:
Go to vehicle selection, model year 2003 or 2004
        and scroll to Expert mode.
        Connector location
 As a system is being selected and
not a vehicle, the location of the
  connector is not always known.

 In some cases two options are
given as to which adaptor / key
  should be used.
Mercedes Expert mode
   Additional input
   Additions in Mercedes

in the of vehicle selection database.
 These have been added to
  Mercedes Expert mode.
             Systems covered
There are 9 new systems that have been added to
Expert Mode. These were not in the Scanner
software before and can’t be found in the normal
mode.
Brake Systems: Other Systems:
 ABS50  ESP (Electronic Stability Program)
 BAS  ESP MK25 (Electronic Stability
Airbag Systems: Program )

 ARMINCA Program )
                   RDK (Tire Pressure Monitor)
                   UP ( Vacuum Pump)
                   Service Interval Reset (Manual
                     procedure)
How can Mercedes Expert
         mode help you
 Mercedes have not been consistent in
terms of ECU selection for the same car
   model / engine type
  Different ECU types communicate
   differenlty with Scanners
 If the wrong ECU is selected via the car
model / engine type the scanner will not
   be able to communicate
 When selecting through the system, if it
is incorrect then you can swap to an
   alternative option to set up
   communication.
