When and Where?
Bridge to Healthcare runs fall term at PCC from September 22nd to December 13th, 2008. Monday
through Thursday between 9:00am and 4:00 pm
At PCC Southeast Center (accessible by bus)

Begin the application process as soon as possible w/ your Case Manager or contact Bridge

Bridge to Healthcare
1) Enroll in or update i-Match Skills completely (www.workinginOregon.com)
2) Fill out Oregon Employment Department (OED) screening form with case manager and email it to
Elona Casady: firstname.lastname@example.org (By ). She will call to confirm this once she receives it and
sends it on to OED. Please allow an hour between Elona’s confirmation phone call and Step 3.
3) Call one of the Oregon Employment Departments below to schedule your 30-minute screening that
will take place on either August ? and call Elona Casady, 503-943-2282 to set up your interview and
with her. The interviews will take place with Elona at Metro Workforce Network on April 17th, 18th,
22nd, and 23rd. Please note, you must have attended the Oregon Employment Department screening to
meet with Elona.
4) Prepare for screening with case manager: practice, make a transportation plan, update your resume
to bring with you, and get together “business casual” clothes for the screening.

OED will be screening for these criteria:
H.S. Diploma or GED (or has plan with case manager to achieve by the end of pathway)
Registered in i-Match
Strong interest in pursuing a career in Healthcare and in this pathway
Strong interest in post-secondary education and training
Previous work experience, internship or employment preferred
Hygiene & appearance consistent with healthcare standards- business casual dress
Must be punctual and able to adhere to high attendance standards
Must bring resume to screening
Awareness that some criminal backgrounds (especially felonies, person to person crimes, drug
charges, or theft) may be a barrier to future schooling or employment in healthcare
Must be willing to drug test and check criminal background during program
