Problem & Opportunity The problem is that there are no set guidelines, templates, procedures, security or accountability for content on the OIS Intranet. Thus the current OIS Intranet is not widely used, or valued within the organization. The opportunity exists to provide a valuable place for OIS related communications. Primary Objectives and Benefits Objective (s) Establish base guidelines for templates, processes and procedures for creating OIS Intranet web pages, for posting content to these pages and for ensuring content is current and consistent with OIS standards. Purchase and install standard web-based tools and software for designated OIS staff, as needed. Recommend a staffing plan for ongoing maintenance and coordination of the OIS Intranet. Recommend a migration plan for moving existing OIS Intranet web sites into the new environment. Benefit (s) OIS Intranet web sites will be uniform in design, and will be created and maintained using a standard set of web-based tools. OIS Intranet web sites will contain valid, current information.
