WIRE TRANSFERS

The Wire Transfers service (part of Payments & Transfers service) allows
you to initiate wire transfers between accounts at First Citizens and
accounts at other financial institutions. You can create wire transfers
in two ways: either free form (domestic only) or using a pre-defined
template. Using templates makes input easier and faster because
specific transfer information is stored in each template. You can also
create global wire beneficiaries to use when creating templates or when
sending free-form wires.

Two types of wire transfers can be created:

Domestic – a domestic wire assumes that the wire is sent and
received in the same country and does not require currency
   conversion.

International – an international wire is sent to a country outside of
the country where the wire originates. Therefore, a currency
conversion from the originating currency to the currency of the
   destination country is required.
