Madeleine Plamondon is leaving the ACAIQ
Last September, following her appointment to the Upper House of the Federal
government, Madeleine Plamondon left her position to the Board of Directors.
She had been named to the ACAIQ Board by the Québec government in June
1996. Putting a positive face on things, Chairman Serge Brousseau declared
that this appointment served two worthy purposes, i.e. acknowledging a re-
markable career in the service of social justice while providing the appointee
with a prestigious forum in which to promote her ideas. Mr. Brousseau thanked Serge Brousseau and Madeleine Plamondon
Mrs. Plamondon warmly for her commitment to the Association.

program
The Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) has awarded the ARELLO Education
Award to the Association des courtiers et agents immobiliers du Québec for its excellent continuing
education program. Mr. Claude Barsalou, Assistant General Manager of the ACAIQ, received the
commemorative plaque from Mr. Scott Taylor, president of Arello, at a ceremony held in October as
part of the ARELLO annual convention in Portland, Oregon.

This is a great honour to be bestowed
on the Association whom, in 2000,
adopted a continuing education policy
