Dear Fellow Angus Breeders:

The Western Washington Angus Association is looking forward to sponsoring the 44th
Annual Angus Sale. The Northwest needs this sale to get more registered Angus
cattle to the people who want them. You bring the cattle, we bring the buyers. This
is an excellent opportunity to meet your fellow Angus breeders and exchange ideas,
information and technology. I would like to urge each and every member to consign
at least one animal to this sale. We need YOUR participation to have enough quality
cattle available to enable us to attract a good number of buyers.

                               AUCTION SALE RULES

1) Entries are due December 15, 2007 with signed registration papers and entry
fees. No animal will sell unless the signed registration papers and entry fees are
in sale management’s hands. There will also be a late entry fee of $30.00 per
   animal.

2) Entries accepted for the sale include top quality open heifers, bred heifers, bred
cows, cows with calves at side, bulls and steers. Bulls over 3 years old by sale
day will not be accepted. Cows over 7 years of age will be sold as commercial.
Consignors are limited to entering one bull unless they also are entering females.

3) We will be accepting un-haltered animals. These cattle will be judged in pens to
determine sale order and will be sold after the haltered animals and before the
   commercial animals.

4) Females over 24 months of age must sell safe in calf or with calf safe at side.
Females with calf over 6 months of age as side must be safe and with calf again.
Cows without a calf as side must be at least 90 days bred and examined safe.
Sellers will guarantee status of open and breedable heifers.

5) All females over 24 months of age must have their pregnancy status verified by
an accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to the sale. This information must
be in the hands of sale management by 9:00am on the date of the sale or be
subject to an examination at the sale at the owner’s expense.

6) INDIVIDUAL HEALTH PAPERS ARE REQUIRED ON EACH OUT OF STATE
ENTERED LOT. (Photocopies are acceptable where more than one animal is
reported on a health paper) Oregon and Idaho must have a Washington State
permit number on their papers. Have your veterinary call the Washington State
Veterinarian’s office for the sale permit number. Negative Tuberculosis test is
required on each animal not originated in TB accredited herds or modified TB free
   areas.

7) Cattle must be eligible to pass necessary health test to enter any state into which
they may sell, or seller still owns the animal. Seller will maintain the animal,
making the necessary test at his cost, and assist in arranging shipping animals
needing additional tests. Consignors should note that many states will not accept
   non-vaccinated females.

8) All bulls entered for sale over one year, must be semen tested and the
certificates must be turned in to sale committee by sale day.

9) All animals will be inspected at the sale. There will be a hard shift which will
include unsoundness, poor quality, or communicable disease, such as pink eye,
ringworm, etc. Extremely unruly dispositioned animals may also be disqualified
   from the sale.

10) Entry fees will not be refunded on cattle rejected by a sifting committee. Entry
fees are not refunded on catalogued animals not brought to the sale.
11) In addition to the entry fee, a 7% commission will be charged to all consignors.

12) Animals not selling because of the floor price established by the consignor are
subject to a 4% sale commission on the consignor’s floor price. There will be a
consignor’s meeting the morning of the sale to set floor prices on the animals.

13) Consignors must be members of the Western Washington Angus Association;
Dues are $15.00 per year, payable with entry fee if not previously paid.

14) Cattle must be at the Skagit County Fair Grounds between 12:00 (noon) and
3:00pm on Saturday March 8, 2008. All cattle must have brand inspection
papers. Washington State cattle may come to the sale on a transportation slip
but cattle from Oregon and Idaho must have brand inspection papers. The brand
inspector will be available on sale day to provide brand papers to the new
owners. Later arrivals may be pre-approved by the auction committee.

15) Every animal must be tied with a good rope halter and neck rope. The halter
sells with the animal. (Except unhaltered animals)

16) No entries will be accepted that have known carriers of class one genetic defects
in the printed pedigree. Individuals tested clean and so verified by the American
Angus Association will be accepted. The sale management, based upon American
Angus Association records, will make this determination at the time of entry.
Entries considered having non-traditional blood factors or with such animals in
their pedigrees, as determined by the American Angus Association, will be
    footnoted as such.

17) A person or persons chosen by the sale committee will determine the sale order.

18) Consignors are urged to assist in delivery of the sale cattle at the buyers risk. No
consignor may leave the sale until shipping arrangement are confirmed with the
sales management. Consignors may be subject to an additional charge if this
rule is disregarded. The buyer will have the option to have their purchased
animal transported to a central location for an additional fee of $50.00.

19) Consignors must bring their own hay. Hay will not be available at Skagit County
    Fair Grounds.

20) Payment will not be made until all checks have cleared.
