             VOLUME 18 NUMBER 4 APRIL 2009

          Celebrating 30 Years
   Purpose, Dedication & Commitment
On Thursday, April 23, 2009 the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber
of Commerce & Visitors Center will be celebrating
                      our 30th Anniversary.

Over the past thirty years we have witnessed many changes
and tremendous growth in our Santa Cruz Valley. The members
of the Chamber have not only witnessed the changes in the Santa
Cruz Valley, but in the Chamber as well. Because of the support of
our members and the dedication of our wonderful Embajadores
(Volunteers) the Chamber continues to grow as a recognized
                     and respected organization.

We urge all members to be a part of this milestone. Be with us as
we recognize the men and women who in their infinite wisdom,
commitment, and dedication created an organization whose purpose
is to support and serve its members.

Again, we ask you to join us on April 23, 2009 at the
               30th Anniversary Dinner for your
Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center.

The March Mixer held at Valley Presbyterian Church was very successful and had an attendance
of about 70 of our members. A fabulous buffet was appreciated by all of our event attendees.
We were treated to a mini concert by the church’s 100 member choir and it was fabulous. And the
view from the main chapel, looking directly in to Madera Canyon, was spectacular at sunset. We
sincerely thank our hosts at Valley Presbyterian for sponsoring this wonderful event. As always is
the case at our Mixers, everyone seemed to make the best use of the opportunity for networking.
We continue to remind our members to RSVP as it helps the hosts with meal planning and would
avoid any embarrassing food shortages.
Jim Green, President of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, welcomed everyone and gave a report
of the Chamber’s activities and introduced our hosts, and our newest members. Each of the new
members had the opportunity to give a short speech about their business. Other members and
guests were given an opportunity to share their event information with the attendees.
We wish to say a special THANK YOU to our members who generously donated fabulous raffle
prizes. Our special thanks go out to: Custom Plus, Green Valley/Sahuarita Chamber of
