Prudential Real Estate Services Company (Purchased
Houston, TX
Director, Data Acquisition - 2001 to 2007
I was directly responsible for the design and implementation of a database system that started with 13 markets and
has grown to 350 major US markets. The system handles 20-30 million user queries per day, 4 Million active Real
Estate listings, and 700,000 Real Estate Listing updates per day. In addition, the system sends out 500,000 new
listing alert emails per day, and has 40 million home photos. The source of the Listing data is 350 Multiple Listing
Services across the country. To integrate with all of them required almost 300 different customized download and
update programs. To grow from 13 markets to 350 markets in 48 months and maintain the volume of updates
requires a staff of 17 developers and system administrators, all of whom I hired personally. I also wrote the
hardware specification and oversaw the design and construction of the data center. My system administrators built
all of the computer hardware, 90 Enterprise Servers.

100% built and the back office Intranet was 95% built. The owners wanted me to focus on improving web site
