This application is for Summer School, NOT ESY (Extended School Year for Special Ed.)
If you want to work for ESY (Special Ed.), please contact Student Support Services at 857-3161.
NOTE: There will be no elementary Summer School this year.
Summer School Applicants Only
Clerical Aide (clerk) applicants must have office skills including computer skills.
Library staff applicants must be currently working at one of the 3 high school Summer School sites
as classified library staff. Apply only for your current school site.
Incomplete applications will be returned.
A complete application must have the following completed:
1 Application, pages 1, 2 and 3 completely filled out and signed.
You will find your WCSD Employee ID number on any current pay stub. It is required for this

All applicants must submit a 1 page résumé with at least 3 references.
To best serve WCSD students, Summer School staff is expected to commit to the entire Summer School time frame.

Please read and initial indicating that you have read the following important information:
Any applicant who has not worked for WCSD within the past 6 months is considered a new prospective
employee. Fingerprinting by WCSD, completion of a W-4 and I-9 form is required.
$50.00 will be deducted from the first paycheck to help defray the cost of fingerprinting and background check.
I understand that the appointment of staff to a part-time Summer School assignment is subject
to and dependent upon sufficient enrollment in each individual class.
Summer School is not ESY (Extended School Year for Special Ed. students).
Summer School positions are temporary, hourly positions. Employees do not accrue PERS. There are
no benefits or paid holidays during Summer School.
The Supplemental Credit Office does not determine the pay rate for Summer School staff.
Summer School pay periods will follow the normal WCSD payroll schedule as during the regular school year.
During Summer School most staff are assigned to an area that is normally used by someone else.
Summer School staff is expected to respect the property of others and not use items that belong to the
regular school year staff without express permission from the regular school year employee(s).
Summer School supplies are limited. The Summer School office purchases Summer School supplies before
June. Site coordinators will be given the basic supplies by the Summer School office. Any special supplies
must be requested by contacting the site coordinator.
Summer School staff will be evaluated by their Summer School site coordinator. Staff evaluations will
become part of the employee's permanent file in HR.
Summer School employees are paid only for time worked.
ALL Staff must inform their site coordinator as soon as they know they will be absent.
No Summer School employee may make arrangements for their own substitute.
All Summer School clerical aides are required to attend Solutionwhere training.

addressed to the attention of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Please place your written explanation in a sealed

taken and will be forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for processing. The District will then receive a report from

therefore, that you answer each question with complete honesty. If you are unsure about a past event, you should list it. Please note
that a “yes” answer to these questions may not necessarily disqualify you from consideration for employment. The WCSD will
consider the nature and date of the conviction, you intervening conduct, and the relationship between the conviction and the position
for which you are applying.
