What are .EXE and .ISO files?
.EXE files are launched directly from the machine they are downloaded on. These files cannot be made into separate boot disks for installation
on other computers.
.ISO files are exact representations of a CD or DVD, including the content and the logical format.

How do I download .ISO files?
There are 3 methods to download products as ISO files:
1. Use CD-R software to download an image file and write it to a blank CD-R or DVD-R.
2. Open and copy ISO image files and their contents to a local folder, much like ZIP files.
3. Virtually mount and access ISO files as a device.

Why should I use the Download Manager?
To help you download large file sizes, Microsoft recommends using the Download Manager. You can easily pause, resume, and stop the
download process. Use the Download Manager for efficient installations, time-saving features, and automatic restarting if the download process
is interrupted.

How do I install downloads with multiple parts?
Some products have multiple parts to download. Multiple parts allow you to install products with large file sizes in smaller blocks of data and
time. Download parts are selected and installed individually. After the part is installed, your browser will return to the Begin Download page
where you can select another part to download.

Troubleshooting the download process
If you encounter trouble downloading, try these suggestions:

Clear Your Cache
If you cannot complete a download, you may need to clear the cache in your Microsoft Internet Explorer. Follow these steps to clear your cache:
1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options and then click the General tab.
2. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files and then click the OK button if you would like to empty your entire cache of
temporary internet files.
3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Settings. In the Settings dialog box, select Every visit to the page. Then set the size of the
Temporary Internet Files folder to a size larger than your intended download. Next, click the View Files button.
4. In the Temporary Internet Files window that opens, open the Edit menu and click Select All. Press DELETE. When you are asked if you
would like to delete all the cookies you have selected, click Yes. Click the OK buttons until you return to the General tab.
5. In the History section of the General tab, click Clear History and then click Yes. When you are asked if you would like to delete the history of
the Web sites you have visited, click OK.

Connection Terminating
If your Internet service provider (ISP) connection has been idle for too long while a download is loading, your connection may automatically
terminate. Please contact your ISP to disable the automatic termination of your connection when downloading files.
