New Certified Project Manager CPM certification Track Launched

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ. -- Sept. 18, 2003 – The International Association for Project and
Program Management (IAPPM) is proud to announce the launch of the new Certified Project
Manager (CPM) credential and Qualification. This prestigious qualification gives candidates with
at least three years project or program management experience the opportunity to demonstrate
that they can manage any project or program effectively. For those project and program
managers who require supplementing or adding value to their project careers, this is an effective
means to bec ome recognized amongst peers and clients. The International Association of Project
and Program Management (IAPPM) now provides membership and certification for students,
business professionals and project practitioners already managing projects. IAPPM is a l eading
global project and program association, (, aimed to be one of the leading
project educational services group. The CPM credential is specifically designed for those who
have experience and the knowledge to successfully manage non-complex projects and programs
across virtually any industry.

Currently the CPM credential is available through Grandfathering for qualified members and
starting Q1, 2004, the qualification will be run by IAPPM Approved Assessment Centers who will
be carefully chosen to manage and deliver the nec essary environment for the candidat es to take
the examination.

The International Association for Project and P rogram Management (IAPPM) is the third largest
national professional body in project and pr ogram management and the fourth largest association
in Europe, which offers a comprehensive project services to more than 15 countries worldwide. It
has over 3000 members worldwide. The Association has one qualification, the foundation level
CPM – of which over 2000 candidates have passed since its introduction in 2003. Council
members and select educational bodies are currently developing another qualification, which will
be launched in 2004. IAPPM also provides business services designed to enhance project
management. The IAPPM is currently in process of joining the International Project Management
Association (IPMA) an Association of more than 50 national project management bodies.
