Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center.
Committee members are also taking the surveys to local churches, retail businesses, restaurants and banks. Dead-

Our business is making your business better!
Canyon Lake has just what the Winter Texans want

Both in the Weather and in their Hearts

Over 250 people attended the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce Winter Texan Reception on Thursday
Feb. 8, 2007. Canyon Lake businesses are more than happy to see Winter Texans come to our area each year.
This is a slow time of year for some area businesses and the influx of visitors is a boost to the
local economy. The Winter Texan Reception is our way of thanking our Winter friends for staying at
Canyon Lake and becoming a part of our community. Winter Visitors from as far away as Alaska,
Canada, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming were in attendance. Many
have been coming to Canyon Lake for over five years, and each year we meet a few new folks who are
spending their first Winter in our area. Everyone enjoyed delicious foods provided by our local area restau-
rants, caterers, businesses, and individuals of the community. Jaynellen Ladd & Mandy Harris handed out
many door prizes donated by area businesses to the lucky ticket holders. This year's event was held at
CRRC. This location provided the space needed to accommodate all our visitors and gave them a chance to
learn about programs offered at the center. Members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers Line Dancing class
performed for us. Kristi Fletcher, who makes exercising lots of fun showed us just how easy it really is.
Live entertainment was provided by Joe Bellesleur.

We are looking forward to seeing all our Winter Texan friends again next year
Thank You, To these fine businesses and volunteers for helping make the
