							Using White Nursery Furniture

Nursery decorating rates high with many people as a fun yet challenging
part of pregnancy. You don't want to start too soon in your pregnancy as a
finished nursery is going to be painful if you miscarry, but you don't want
to start too late because your baby will come when he or she feels like
appearing. If you want to get your nursery started before you know the sex
of the baby (or babies!), or if you have chosen not to know, you need
something that works well for either boy or girl. This is when you may
want to check out some white nursery furniture.

There are great color schemes out there for both boys and girls, and some
that work well as neutral colors. Your crib color and the color of your
dresser are usually going to be neutral, but you can then accessorize once
you know the sex. White nursery furniture is a great way to stay neutral
while keeping everything open for whatever colors you decide to add to your
nursery in the future. One thing that white offers in comparison to other
colors of nursery furniture is that it tends to be more dramatic and a bit
more bright no matter what decor you end up choosing.

You can take dark colors like cobalt blue or a deep fuchsia when using
white nursery furniture to create an incredible looking theme or decor
situation. The dark colors may seem a bit too dark to you when you are
buying bedding, carpet, and other decor items, but once you add these
items to the room with the white baby furniture items, those colors are
going to look great but the room will not look too dark. It's like adding
bright white trim to a darkly painted room. The white opens it up and
makes the color pop. It's a great combination.

Another great thing about white nursery furniture is that you can always
change the color. White is easier to sand and then paint over than darker
paints or stains. Perhaps as your child grows you feel that white is just not
the best choice any longer. You do have to be careful when sanding paint
and then adding new color, as the paints have to be safe. However, there
are safe paints out there. Just make sure the paint is right and that you
get good instructions for safely changing these items. It might be as simple
as doing the sanding outside so no paint and wood chips dust remains in
the nursery.

There are a few downfalls to white nursery furniture, but they are minor
irritations if anything. White will get dirtier more easily, but some see this
as a plus. That encourages cleaning more often. It will be a bit more
noticeable when or if the white paint chips, but that too can be a positive.
That tells you that you have to do a minor repair. The last thing you want
is chipping pain where baby can put his or her mouth. All in all, white is
a great choice that is both fashionable and timeless.
