I would like to outline my experiences in the Hospitality field for you, and hopefully you agree with me on my potential with your company. My professional experience has been dedicated to learning the ins and outs of the hospitality industry. I have a two-year background with Choice Hotels, which has given me a full circle of understanding of the CRS, and its processes. My time spent on the front-line at Choice provided me with experience that has been tremendously valuable to me at the property level, especially in the development of my Guest Service Agents. I have experience in the training and quality assurance field with Choice Hotels, providing me with knowledge of training and coaching employees. All of these positions have helped me effectively develop my employee talent. I have spent the last two years at the property level learning all facets of hotel operations. Starting with the Sleep Inn in Minot (currently the only ND property with a water park) from the very beginning proved to be a valuable experience to me as a manger. I learned many things in the organizing, and start up of their operation, which has helped me in my recent endeavors. My knowledge has grown leaps in bounds in all departments. I have spent valuable time at the front desk, working with my employees. I have also dedicated many hours to housekeeping, both filling in for shortages, and working side by side with my employees to build rapport. I have been through the Tharaldson Property Management “Diamond Core” training, and have achieved the highly accredited CHA certification. I have accomplished much with my current property in the year I have been here. I have taken it from substandard conditions and achieved a nearly perfect QA rating from Choice Hotels. I have positively affected my property’s REVPar every month, and have increased ADR numbers many months by more then 20%. However, I believe that a larger property with higher revenue potential is the next step in the development of my hospitality career, and where I can be most effective.
