Title If You Want To Make God Laugh, Tell Her Your Plans Overview Paragraph
No matter how much I plan, life seems to have no concern for my expectations. Instead she moves life along according to her agenda. Historically, I have responded in two ways: fighting it occasionally and going with it at other times. Now I believe it is time to simply go with it.

It has been an amazing and challenging last few weeks for me. I have experienced some high highs and some low lows. Business opportunities have sprung up and people I know have passed on. All this rapid, unexpected change has got me thinking about my entrepreneurial and personal life. No matter how much I plan, life seems to have no concern for my expectations. Instead she moves life along according to her agenda. Historically, I have responded in two ways: fighting it occasionally and going with it at other times. Now I believe it is time to simply go with it. I have done quite a bit of research on this subject. I have read and reread the stress management books of Dale Carnegie to the spiritual guides of Deepak Chopra. I have attended the motivational seminars provided by Anthony Robbins and reviewed all I can from Bob Proctor and the like. But it is people like the father and son in this video that have taken these beliefs and shown me how it is to swim with the current of life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gm7XwtIJdM You and I also have the ability to go with the flow, and grow from of it. Here is what I have learned: 1. Expect the unexpected Life continues to throw changes our way, particularly when we least expect it. Know that it is going to happen, and a lot of times it will be a positive outcome. Look forward to the changes. 2. Change makes you ready next go around. The more changes you go through, the better prepared you are for the
3. Pay attention to the conversation in your head - Be mindful of what you are saying outwardly and what is going on in your head. You internal conversation is influenced by what you say outwardly, and your internal conversation is the most powerful source at determining your emotions. 4. God has a plan If you don t believe in God, you can skip this one. If you do, know that she has a plan for all of us and we only make her laugh when we tell her of our plans.

5. Loss means you had it If you go through an experience that is a loss, be happy that you had it to lose. Many people never experience the great business, the close friend, the cherished moments. It is far better to have had it and lost it, to never have had it in the first place. 6. Don t go it alone Others have gone through the same situation you have. I don t care how crazy or how unique you think your situation was someone else has been there. Seek them out and seek their guidance. 7. Take action Be it a change for the better or for the worse, you must take action. I have seen way to many people frozen in fear or standing still in celebration. When change comes, get your butt in gear. Your business life and your personal life or so intertwined that you are guaranteed only one thing, constant highs and lows. Your success and happiness will be solely determined by your ability to swim with the current of life. Posted by Mike Michalowicz
