CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY FOR THE NEW ADDITION AT
THE ELLIOTT CHESTERFIELD OFFICE IN ST. LOUIS, MO.
St. Louis, MO June 16, 2008 – Over the past few years, the St. Louis Elliott
staff has grown significantly filling every nook and cranny of the Chesterfield
office along the way. “We’ve finally reached a point where we’ve run out of
space and have decided that the best option is to add a new wing to the
building in order to give everyone adequate room to work.” Tim Green. The
new wing will span across the back of the current building and will include a
new conference room, multiple offices, cubical space and a new
shipping/receiving area.

The new wing is designed to utilize the available space and allow the entire
Elliott staff to work efficiently and effectively within the building. It will
include a “quiet area” which will provide the newly expanded development
team an environment which is more conducive to writing code and devel-
oping program applications. The marketing department will reside in a
small section of the new wing with a Resource Office which will provide a
central location for materials designed to support the sales staff and
customers. The addition will also free up much needed space for Elliott’s
technical staff and provide more room to store supplies and accessory items            Construction began on June 2, 2008 and is expected

ELLIOTT ASSISTS IN EARTHQUAKE
PREPAREDNESS EXERCISE
On April 21, 2008, the Tennessee National Guard staged Vigilant
Guard ’08, an earthquake disaster scenario whose purpose it was to
determine the level of preparedness of state and local responders
in and around the Memphis area should a large scale quake occur.
West Tennessee is situated on the New Madrid seismic zone, which
was responsible for the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred in
1812 and caused a portion of the Mississippi River to flow
backwards. The New Madrid fault zone continues to cause tremors
and rumblings below the earth’s surface as well as numerous
smaller quakes across the region.

The Center for Earthquake Research and Information at the Univer-
sity of Memphis estimates that the New Madrid fault zone is
capable of producing large scale, catastrophic quakes every 300 to
500 years. Vigilant Guard ’08 was an attempt to determine how
responders from surrounding states and regions would coordinate
with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and
other local emergency responder agencies in the event of such a
disaster. This drill involved Civil Support Teams (CST’s) from Illinois,
Kentucky and Missouri, as well as first responders from the Shelby
County EMA, fire department and sheriff’s department, the Mem-
phis fire and police departments, and the Millington, Tennessee fire
and police departments. The Tennessee National Guard needed a
way to identify, register and track these first responders who were
arriving from several regions and departments.

gency Event Manager Unit (patent pending). Brad Gamm of the
Elliott Memphis office set up the Elliott Mobile Command Center in
a remote staging area located at a major hospital facility in north-
east Shelby County which served as one of the main receiving

in ten minutes and immediately began credentialing first respond-
ers from several different agencies as they arrived on the scene.
