1.0 THE VISION OF NARICT.

    To become a research institute of international repute in the provision of

    innovative R & D in the processing and conversion of indigenous raw materials

    into valuable chemicals and chemical products for industrial application.

    To be a reknown center of international excellence in the fields of effluent

    monitoring and control, chemical, biology, man-made fibre, leather and leather

    products technologies.

2.0 NARICT’S MISSION STATEMENT

    To provide globally competitive and environmentally friendly technologies in

    industrial and agro-chemicals, solid minerals, biochemicals, leather and leather products,

    man-made fibres, effluent monitoring and control, petrochemicals, engineering plastics

    and allied chemicals.

    To attain international expertise in frontier areas such as biotechnology, chemical

    catalysis, chemical process design, modeling and simulation, engineering fabrication and

    design, chemical analytical instrumentation and quality control.

    To acquire and maintain world class technical capacity and reputation to offer science-

    based consultancy services the world over in relevant areas of chemical science, biology,

    engineering sciences and quality control.

3.0   PRODUCTS AND SERVICES OFFERED.
      NARICT offers a wide range of products and services, with a consult programme in two main
      areas namely: PRODUCTS and SERVICES.
3.1   Products.
      -     Neem based Products (e.g. pesticides, oil, fertilizers, etc.

      -     School Chemicals and Reagents
      -     Battery Electrolyte

      -     Bleaching Earth

      -     Environmental pollution monitoring and control
      -     Effluent water treatment plant design
      -     Water treatment analysis for portability
      -     Technical advisory services on chemical production
      -     Instrumental analysis of raw materials
      -     Quality control in chemical and leather products.
      -     Contract tanning of leathers
      -     Repairs and maintenance of laboratory equipment’

4.0   NARICT CUSTOMERS
      The Institute’s customers include:
      -     Manufacturing industries (e.g. pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, tanneries, agro-
            allied, chemicals and petrochemicals, food and beverage industries, etc.
      -     Schools and colleges.
      -     Tertiary institutions.
      -     Private investors/entrepreneurs
      -     Federal Government and Federal Government Agencies.
      -     State and Local Governments and their agencies.
      -     University and Polytechnic students.
      -     Rural/traditional tanners.
      -     Farmers.

5.0   STANDARDS/QUALITY/TIME FRAME FOR PRODUCTS/ SERVICES
      DELIVERY
      NARICT products and services are world class in terms of quality and need
      satisfaction, and are delivered promptly according to the time frame and terms
      specified in contractual agreement.

6.0   GRIEVANCES REDRESS PROCEDURES.
      All correspondences on grievances and other inquiries in respect of service
      delivery should be directed to the NARICT Nodal Officer whose address and
      access lines are at the inside back page of this pamphlet.


7.0   NARICT’S EXPECTATIONS FROM CUSTOMERS.
      NARICT’s expectations from her customers include:
      -     feedback on standards and quality of her products and service delivery.
      -     fulfillment of obligations (e.g. prompt payment for products and/or services
            rendered).
      -     commendation and advertisement for good services rendered to them.

8.0   COMPENSATION IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE OF SERVICE
      DELIVERY.
      In the event of failure of service delivery, NARICT undertakes to
      compensate the customer, in accordance with the term(s) of relevant
      contractual agreement entered into with the customer.
