Summary Statement
OSA’s 67th Annual Meeting seeks to expand the practical knowledge base of the practicing anesthesiologist in a variety of areas. Ar-
eas of emphasis include: simulation topics; airway issues; lung injuries; airway workshop; preoperative evaluation issues; thoracic sur-
gery issues; pediatric evaluation and assessment; malpractice issues and pulmonary hypertension issues; Malpractice issues, pulmonary
hypertension issues and ultrasound guided regional anesthesia issues. Experts will present and discuss these topics with an emphasis on
practical clinical approaches that will work for a primary anesthesia provider, resident supervisor or other anesthesia practitioner.
Joint Sponsorship and Accredidation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Con-
tinuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of The Ohio State University Medical Center and the Ohio Society
of Anesthesiologists (OSA). The Ohio State University Medical Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical
education for physicians. The Ohio State University Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA
PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Target Audience
This educational program is directed toward the broad variety of anesthesiologists that comprises the population of practitioners in
Ohio. This population includes anesthesiologists practicing in university teaching hospitals; tertiary care non-university hospitals; ur-
ban, suburban, and rural community hospitals, outpatient surgical facilities, and office-based practices. The program also will serve to
educate anesthesiology residents, anesthesia assistants, nurse anesthetists, PACU nurses, and others.
