Remove – - The Business Manager to enter into a lease agreement with Kovatch Dealership on a _________ mini-van, the terms being ____ months at $_______ per month. Note: The van will be used for approved school-related transportation. It is a budgeted item. Hire – - David Manning, 1811 Riesling Dr., Easton, PA, as a full-time permanent Math Teacher (currently Middle School), retroactive to September 20, 2004, at the P.V.E.A. contract salary of $32,898.00 (Step 5). Note: Mr. Manning has been in this position under an emergency permit, and has now received his permanent certification from PDE, which also dates back to October 1, 2004. - Robert Thomas as the full-time permanent AEP (Alternative Education Program) Teacher/Coordinator, effective November 12, 2004 at a salary of $29,000.00(Step B1), as per the P.V.E.A. contract salary scale. Ed. 21 Sherwood St. Tamaqua, PA 18252 - Robert Henninger as Head of the Social Studies Department, at the P.V.E.A contract stipend of $900 for the 2004-2005 school year. - Michelle Martin and Laura Miller as co-advisors of the High School Student Council, at the P.V.E.A. contract stipend of $900 each for the 2004-2005 school year. - The exoneration request for the 2003 occupation tax ($250.00) for Fred H. Norton, P. O. Box 23, Lansford, PA. - The exoneration request for the 2003 per capita tax ($10.00) and occupation tax ($250.00) for Michelle Lucas, 120 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, PA. Note: Approved documentation is on file in the Business Office. - Sponsoring a full page advertisement in the 2004-2005 Swim Team Program, at a cost of $100.00. - William Lukshides, 323 Penn St., Tamaqua, PA, as the High School 45 Day On-Call Substitute Teacher (prorated) to the end of the first semester of the 2004-2005 school year, at the rate of $90.00 per day. Note: Mr. Lukshides is an approved Guest Teacher. - A refund of an overpayment of 2004 real estate taxes in the amount of $228.49 to John J. Kovatch III & Sharon A., 27 Club Drive, Nesquehoning, PA. Note: Letter on file from Nesquehoning Tax Collector confirming overpayment. - The list of volunteers as band chaperones for the remainder of the 2004-2005 school year.
Authorize – - Entering into a contract with Lehigh Asphalt Paving and Construction Co, Inc., to perform work on the inside and outside edges of the Panther Valley High School track in the amount not to exceed $9,900.00 as quoted. Note: Two written quotes were received, and two other firms were contacted but did not submit a quote. This expenditure has been planned for and budgeted. - And approve the opening of the 2004-2005 General Fund Budget for the purpose of including the additional grant revenues that total $310,494 and the corresponding expenditures of this grant revenue. Note: The line items were discussed at the Budget and Finance Committee meeting held on October 26, 2004 and are included with the Board packet. These items could neither be anticipated nor included at the time the 20042005 budget was prepared. Accept – - The Memorandum of Agreement relating to Article VI, Sections 8 and 16 and Article XVI of the existing collective bargaining agreement between the Panther Valley School District and the Panther Valley Education Association. Note: This deals with the retirement incentive and payment for accumulated sick days being contributed to an established 403(b) tax sheltered annuity account with an established vendor. The P.V.E.A. has accepted this Memorandum earlier. - The resignation of Anthony Russo as Head Track Coach, effective immediately.
