Classmate Interview Slideshow Assignment One of the best ways to kick off a new semester is to make some new friends in class! Knowing your teacher and your peers will make your life easier when we get to work. You’ll have more people to turn to when you have a question or need help. Plus you’ll enjoy coming here each day! Therefore, we are going to have some fun with this “get to know you” assignment! The instructions are below. Good Luck! Instructions: 1. Find a partner to work with. (I’d be happy to help you find somebody to work with if you’d like me to!) 2. Sit down together and work your way through the interview questions I’ve provided. Please write down your answers! I am very interested in learning about each of you! I will collect the interview sheets and give you points for doing them. These questions are meant to be a starting point for your conversations. Please feel free to add or subtract questions as the conversation dictates. Lastly, please try to avoid one to two word answers. Ask follow up questions so that you really are talking to each other! 3. You will have about 15-20 minutes to talk to one another and get the interview questions filled out. Then head over to the computers to begin work on your slideshows. Make sure you are sitting next to your partner! 4. Load up PowerPoint and open the file entitled “Classmate Interview Slideshow” that is saved in our classes folder. (I’ll show you how to get there.) 5. Use the template to create a short slideshow “introducing” your partner to the class. You can be creative, add extra slides, put in pictures or animations etc…Remember, you must create your partners slideshow and they must create yours. (You can help each other out though!) HAVE FUN and make it look great! We will be showing these to the class to impress me! Classmate Interview Questions Your mission: To interview a classmate and present that person to the class! Here are some questions to get you started. Feel free to add questions on the back of this sheet if you’d like to! Make sure you write the information down through because you will turn in this sheet for points at the end of this assignment! If you could meet anybody and sit down and hang out with them…Ask them questions…see what they are/or were really all about…who would you meet? If you could go witness any moment (or time period) in history, what would you want to see? What do you want to do after high school? Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten years? Twenty years? What do you dream about accomplishing some day? FREESTYLE QUESTIONS: -Each pair is responsible for coming up with TWO original questions and providing the answers! GOOD LUCK!
