Human Services Commission Mission Statement
The Human Services Commission exists as part of the conscience of the City of Kent in its recognition of the value and diversity of all citizens including the various cultures and ethnicities and the City’s desire that their basic needs be met. In order to fulfill its mission the Kent Human Services Commission: Identifies and responds to needs of individuals and families in the Kent community. Encourages caring and action in the community by raising awareness. Provides leadership to develop and manage the variety of community resources. Reviews applications and recommends human service allocations to the Kent City Council. Provides leadership and encourages collaboration in seeking local and regional solutions to human service needs.
