WHEREAS: the people of the state of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, have found that the Hudson River Valley is a natural scenic and cultural landscape possessing unsurpassed beauty, history and recreation opportunity; AND WHEREAS the President's Commission on Americans Outdoors has called for a network of Greenways across the US; AND WHEREAS the governor of the state of New York has signed legislation to provide for a Hudson Valley Greenway Study; AND WHEREAS the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, which is located on the eastern shore of the Hudson River in northwest Westchester County, has a direct and significant relationship with both the Hudson and the Croton Rivers; AND WHEREAS the Waterfront Revitalization Plan, which has been enacted into law by the Village of Croton- on-Hudson, has found that the entire Village exists within the coastal zone boundary; BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: that the Mayor and the Village Board of Crotonon -Hudson do unanimously support the goals of the Greenway Study; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Board does hereby request that all development proposals should address their plans and impact statements to the goals of the Greenway Study and to the concerns of the Waterfront Revitalization Plan; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village of Croton-on-Hudson shall present testimony to the Greenway Council on October 20, 1989, in Tarrytown, NY, in support of the establishment of a Greenway; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that representatives from Croton shall submit to the
