EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION SURVEY—FEBRUARY 2004

EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION SURVEY—FEBRUARY 2004 RESULT HIGHLIGHTS OVERALL RESULTS Out of approximately 1,200 surveys that were sent out, 311 employees (26%) responded to FRCC's annual Employee Satisfaction Survey. Survey results include both on-line and paper responses. Approximately 18 surveys were not included in the reported results due to late submission (greater than one week); duplicate submissions were also eliminated. Overall, at least 80% of all employees responded favorably in the areas of 1) Recognition/Respect, 2) Development/Training, 3) Flexibility/Diversity/Equality, and 4) Customer & Student Focus/Continuous Improvement. Employees were least satisfied in the area of Compensation/Benefits. Generally speaking, administrators and college-wide employees seem to be most satisfied. Mean scores by employee category and campus are attached. FRCC employees appear to be less satisfied this year than last year. The most dramatic difference in satisfaction lies in the results from Question 6.2—My salary is fair for my job responsibilities. Last year, 42.1% of all FRCC employees agreed with that statement; this year, 25.0% agreed. A year-to-year comparison summary is attached. Following is a chart of the seven survey categories mean score by campus. (Note: 2.00 is a favorable response; 1.00 is an unfavorable response. Therefore, the higher the bar, the better the score.)
