1.     Appointments - Appeals Committee

Four new members were appointed and welcomed to the Committee.


2.     Draft inspection report
______________________________________________________________________

The draft report on the inspection carried out by the JSB at Europol was adopted and
will now be sent to Europol for comments, with the aim of adopting the final report in
the next plenary meeting of the JSB.

3.     TFTP agreement
______________________________________________________________________

Having received information on this issue from the JSB delegation that met with
Europol, the plenary discussed Europol's tasks under the TFTP agreement and the ways
in which the JSB will exercise its supervisory competences over Europol in relation to
the agreement. The JSB intends to carry out a first check this year.

4.     Supervision of Europol's staff data

The JSB discussed how it will exercise its supervisory competences over Europol in
relation to Europol's staff data, and formed a subgroup mandated to focus on this specific
area of work. The JSB will intensify the exchange of information with the European Data
Protection Supervisor on this issue.

5.      Europol's receipt of information from commercial providers

The plenary was informed on this matter by the JSB delegation that met with Europol.
This item will be further discussed at the next plenary meeting of the JSB.

6.     Future strategy of the Europol JSB

This item was postponed and will be discussed at the next plenary meeting of the JSB.

7.      Application of the principle of availability
______________________________________________________________________

The plenary was informed on the work done by the availability subgroup. Europol's
approach to analysis work files was also discussed; this issue will be discussed further at
the next plenary meeting of the JSB.
8.     Europol's connection to the Schengen Information System
______________________________________________________________________

The Secretariat informed the plenary on this issue. As an interpretation of Article 101A
is needed, the opinion of the JSB will be important.

9.     Individuals' cases - right of access, correction, deletion

The plenary discussed the three individuals' cases it is currently dealing with. One was
concluded; two are ongoing.

10.   Third States relations

The Secretariat informed the plenary of developments in this area.



The next meeting of the Europol JSB will take place on 6 December 2010.
