GET RELEASED FROM DEBT
Deuteronomy 28:1, 2, 8, 11, 15,17,18, 27-36
1) It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command
you this day, that Yahweh your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth: 2and all these blessings shall come on you, and
overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God. 8Yahweh will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that
you put your hand to; and he will bless you in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. 11Yahweh will make you plenteous for good, in the
fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give
But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes
which I command you this day, that all these curses shall come on you, and overtake you. 17Your basket and your kneading trough shall be
cursed. 18The fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock shall be cursed.
Yahweh will strike you with the boil of Egypt, and with the tumors, and with the scurvy, and with the itch, of which you can not be healed.
Yahweh will strike you with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart; 29and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind
gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and robbed always, and there shall be none to
save you. 30You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: you shall build a house, and you shall not dwell therein: you shall
plant a vineyard, and shall not use its fruit. 31Your ox shall be slain before your eyes, and you shall not eat of it: your donkey shall be violently
taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have none to
save you. 32Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people; and your eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the
day: and there shall be nothing in the power of your hand. 33The fruit of your ground, and all your labors, shall a nation which you don‟t know
eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always; 34so that you shall be mad for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
Yahweh will strike you in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, of which you can not be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown
of your head. 36Yahweh will bring you, and your king whom you shall set over you, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers;
and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone.
Please take time to read the whole chapter of Deuteronomy 28. You will find that verses 1-14 are all about the promise of Abraham and from verses 15-
68 the Word talks about the characteristics of the cures that will be on your life when we do not obeying God’s commandments. I don’t know about you
but I certainly experienced more than one of these in my life.
So please take note: if you can identify with any of these curses in your life, don’t think it is God testing you or preparing you for something greater nor
think it is the devil bringing this onto you. NO… IT‟S YOU ! , not obeying God‟s commandments. !!
When you want prosperity to shine you out of debt, then you call for it. Keep speaking the word of God, keep doing the things God wants you to do, sow
a seed, keep on sowing even if you don't have the finance. Praying for others, encourage someone, serve other people like Jesus did, that is also a
form of giving.
Start where you are, stop talking what the world says. Start talking what the Word says. It’s a good starting point.
Back to the curse: When in want of all things or never having your needs met is a curse. Living in oppression because of your finances is a
curse. Being robbed of your finances continually is a curse.
Deuteronomy 28: 66. “and your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear night and day, and shall have no assurance of your life.”
If you feel like this at all, then you are cursed. Thank God, Jesus redeemed us from the curse. We don’t have to live like this. It’s time to take authority
over this. Only you can take authority over your debt.
You will never be able to break free from your situation if you don’t really feel FED UP with it. Get FED UP with living from pay cheque to pay cheque!
TAKE DETERMINED ACTION TO CHANGE. Start pointing blame to your self. Stop blaming others for your situation. Most of us don’t need a devil to
get us into this mess. YOU ARE YOUR WORST ENEMY! Don’t ask God to get you out of debt, if you can’t have control over your own spending or if
there is no discipline where your money is concerned.
Example: a sportsman needs discipline when preparing for a race; he needs discipline if he wants to be the best in the word. If we can have discipline in
all aspects of our lives, then we can be prosperous in every aspect of our lives.
God‟s people think that we can just get God to close his eyes at our lifestyle and bless us anyway. What most people want out of God is a fix.
Temporarily relieve so they can go back to living the way they lived and not be uncomfortable about it. Example: God won't heal your back pain caused
by watching television for 8 hours if you only want the healing so that you can watch 8 more hours of television without pain.
God won’t bless you financially so that you can consume it on lust. He won’t deliver you from your debt if you can’t show Him some sort of discipline
over your money.
It’s time to make changes your lifestyle. It’s not just about confessing and believing for deliverance. Repentance means to turn around, to do things
different. This means that we must not just ask God to bless us, without us willing to make adjustments. Make effort to look into your finances, stop
wasting money and close doors where the devil has opportunity to steal your money. Get help with your finances if necessarily.
As soon as you take action and stop being passive about your finances, then God will step in and empower (bless) you to deliver yourself.
He won’t help you if you only saying that you want to change. It’s more than just speaking and believes in it, if you truly want to come out of debt
(although it’s a vital part of it, but not the only part).
Speaking is calling on it to come to pass.
Believing (Faith) is thanking God of things to pass as if they have already passed.
Action to change is the opening of a door for God’s power to enable you to deliver you from your situation.
Mark 11:22-25 “ 22Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, „Be taken up and cast into the sea,‟
and doesn‟t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says. 24Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray
and ask for, believes that you have received them, and you shall have them. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that
your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
You have to read these 4 verses altogether and understand that God always promise us things, but you have to be active in doing your part before any
of this will come to pass.
A lack of discipline gets you in trouble. Impatience is one thing that gets you in trouble. If you can’t buy it cash, then you don’t need it as simple as that.
You might take long before you can get what you want, but by the time you get it, you won’t have any debt. No strive can come your way, concerning
that thing you want. No door for the devil to have something on you. You can build your house cash in 10 years, you will look like the nut when busy
saving for something, but you will also be the nut without any debt when you get it. To do this takes discipline. The world we live in has no discipline,
everybody wants everything now and on Sunday when we go to church we hope for some move of God to bring us out of debt. (Psalm 107:2 &
Revelation 12:11) it’s about the blood of Jesus and the word of your testimony.
When passive, means you are not bold concerning your discipline and that hinders your witness.
(2Kings 7:3) It’s about how God can make things happen when you start taking action over your life. This is a great example of how mighty our God is.
How to be active: Don’t buy you a home gym, install it and say now your going to become fit and expect to become fit by only saying it. U got to use the
equipment first, for you to become fit! So is the Word of God too!
Going to Mc Donald's everyday doesn’t make you a burger. Just like going to church every Sunday doesn‟t make you a Christian! You need to
exercise (take action) to get anything you want. Reposition yourself for the increase God wants you to have!!
Don’t over spend rather tithe at a church. Make a commitment to tithe. That’s using discretion in your financial affairs. If you are not tithing, you show
God that you don’t have good judgment over your money. God watches good judgment. (Malachi 3) will teach you more regarding tithes and offerings)
ALWAYS REMEMBER: GOD WEIGHS MOTIVE!!
Happy changing for a debt free life.
