Utilizing and protecting your personal information is a top priority to the board of directors, officials, management staff, and all employees here at People First Federal Credit Union. To retain your trust and confidence, we have adopted the following privacy policy which pertains to both current and former members: 1) We will only collect personal information that is necessary to transact business with our members. This non-public personal information about you can come from applications, forms, your transactions with us, and credit reporting agencies. We collect just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services, and no more. 2) We will protect your personal information by maintaining strong security controls to ensure that members' information in our files and computers is protected. All credit union transactions with members and information relative to member's personal business is required to be held in confidence by our board of directors, officials, management staff, and employees. 3) We will always allow you access to your information. The opportunity is always there for you to review your information and make changes to ensure that our records are complete and accurate. When absolutely necessary, People First Federal Credit Union will share public information in the following instances: to administer our products and services. to partner with other businesses in order to expand our line of products and services. to comply with requests received as permitted by law. People First Federal Credit Union will partner only with businesses that comply with our confidentiality requirements. The businesses chosen must offer products or services designed to enhance our members' economic well being. Under no circumstances will People First Federal Credit Union authorize these businesses to charge your account for fees without your express consent. People First Federal Credit Union will not sell member information to telemarketing firms. People First Federal Credit Union will allow you a choice in how your information is used. You may elect to keep your information from being shared with our business partners. To exercise this right, you must mail your request in writing to us. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your request is honored. People First Federal Credit Union will notify you of our privacy policy annually, as required by law. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time and will promptly tell you of the change(s) made. People First Federal Credit Union will strive to protect the personal information of our most important asset, you --- our member. In doing so we will continue to retain your trust and confidence, and that means putting People First. Online Privacy Policy People First Federal Credit Union has taken appropriate security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access while using our online services. Access codes, including PINs and passwords are required in order to gain access to your account online. In addition, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology, which provides a secure channel to protect data between our servers and your computer. Our servers are protected by a firewall to further protect our data and equipment from unauthorized use. We do not collect personal identifying information about visitors to our web site. We do, however, gather non-identifying statistical data from your visit, such as date and time visited, the Internet domain from which you access our site, the pages you visit, as well as information on your browser and operating system. This information is used to compile statistics on our site usage. Personal identifying information that you send to us through e-mail, online forms or the PC Access messaging system will only be used to fulfill or respond to your request. As a service, we provide links to other web sites that we feel may be of interest to our members. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
