Digital and photography are two words used simultaneously by professional digital photographers to

Using a camera tripod

Understand what is imaging and image types such as JPEG and TIFF
Understand what are: image sharpness, digital image interpolation and posterization, image
noise, white balance etc.
Understand importance of camera lenses such as aperture and focal length
Camera exposure must be understood which include shutter speed and ISO
Understand camera metering, autofocus and digital camera sensors
In-depth knowledge of color perception should be understood.
We are going to explain the terms commonly use in digital photography as a profession, bear it in
mind that, everything about digital photography starts and ends with camera and you must be
familiar with workability of camera and its relationship to human eyes for viewing both near and far
objects. The movement of eye lid and pupil are examples of how shutter speed works. The eye lid
open and close to control the amount of light coming into the pupil the same way how shutter speed
also works. I guessed you have the basic information on the so called digital photography using our
eye lid and pupil.
Let us get the Digital Photography Tutorials now......
Aperture: This is the size of the opening of the lens of the camera. It measures the actual size of
opening of the lens and regulates the amount of light entry into the camera’s sensor. You can relate
this to exposure, but differs because aperture is size while exposure is amount of light falling onto
the camera sensor.
Exposure: unlike aperture, exposure is the measure of the total amount of light falling onto the
camera sensor. In digital photography exposure is measured as "E/V". That is, the more “E/V”
recorded on a digital camera the more light is falling on the sensor of digital camera. Or the higher
the “E/V” recorded the more the light going into the camera and vice versa.
Shutter speed: This is the speed measuring how shutter is opened when the digital photography is
taken. Or better still compare your eye lid as is explained with this shutter speed, that is, how fast
you are able to blink your eye lid and capture image around you. The only difference here is that,
you capture a blur image by blinking your eyes with a second but in the case of digital photography
the faster the speed or blink the better and concise image you get. A very fast blink will produce a
better and sharp image of a car racing or moving football.
Lag: This is the short time delay between pressing the shutter button and when the digital camera
takes the picture. Expensive digital camera usually have very short lag. The smaller the lag the
sharper the image or digital photograph.
Flash Fill: This is usually used in digital photography to reduce light on a person’s face when taken
digital photograph mostly in a bright or sunny environment. The flash fill is usually used during the
day for wedding and birthday programme carried out on the field. With flash fill a digital
photographer can get catchy shots.
With the above digital photography tutorials and training, I want to believe being a professional
digital photographer is just within your reach. With this tips on digital photography, if well
implemented and strictly followed and lot of personal development you will soon find your work
amongst the professional where you will be competing at the digital photography exhibition.
