We realise that this could be an expensive time for parents, consequently we have created a programme that we think will be enjoyable for students and hopefully affordable too. The plan is outlined below and at this moment in time we are asking for a £10 deposit to guarantee your son/daughter a place on this programme if this is something they would like to do. The total cost for the week will be £50. More details will follow nearer the time. Please note that although activities have been outlined and arranged this could change for reasons out of our control, however should this unlikely event arise then alternative activities will be arranged. Organisation of the days could also change nearer the time. Day 1 - Joss Bay Beach – Spend some quality time with your friends chilling out on a beautiful beach in Broadstairs, use the day to swim, play volley ball, cricket/rounders, petanque or simply mess about in the sand – a great day out. Day 2 - Potted Sports – A morning in school or local park where groups will be in serious competition with each other to win a prize for being crowned Potted Sports Champion! This is going to be a light hearted fun sports day where a variation of popular sports will become the day’s challenge. After, students will be engaged in creating a menu for the picnic on day 4. They will be given a budget, so serious planning and preparation in groups will be the key to their success! Day 3 - Bedgebury Forest – hack around on a mountain bike on the super fun and fast mountain bike trail or take a leisurely cycle around the less demanding routes with your friends. Then visit the jump area where you can spend some time with your friends doing some crazy tricks! To round off the day top up your energy levels with a tasty forest BBQ. Day 4 – Canoeing and Picnic – Spend some time canoeing along the River Medway and then in groups preparing a gourmet picnic for you and your friends – best picnic on the day wins a prize and of course we will go somewhere nice to eat it after! Day 5 - Treasure Hunt - Final day of activities… a morning treasure hunt to get your brain ticking and then the opportunity to peruse the year 9 enterprise stalls and pick yourself up a bargain! If your son/daughter is interested in this programme then please sign the form below and get the £10 deposit into the school bank by Friday 28th November. Please note: choosing to opt for individual activities is not an option. Please note that demand is expected to be high for this programme, hence allocation will be based on a first come first served basis.
